    wut?

Well, to answer your question, I certainly do NOT suppport laws that prohibit hiring discrimination, be they against blacks or anybody. Blacks can't claim to be the ones needing laws, yet let all other discrimination be legal.

All of that nonsense where I can't discriminate against blacks, but I can discriminate against illiterate buffoons just reeks of racism. Sorry black people, but you don't have it any worse than anybody else. Just pull on those ol' bootstraps and stop complaining.

So if I own a bait and tackle shop. And some big burly guy comes in wearing a dress, heels and lipstick, and wants a job dipping shiners and minnows to the local rednecks. I have to hire him? What about the same guy who wants a job selling high end perfumes?

This is exactly what people were saying about gay rights, it has slipped into the alphabet soup of LGBTQIA+ rights. It's not exactly a fallacy when it comes true.

That's probably never going to happen. The leftist haters who are behind all this politically correct stuff, have bestowed themselves with the sacred power to decide who is right and who is wrong. They see themselves as the social justice warriors, defending the victims and punishing the oppressors, with them getting to decide which people fall under which banner. victims get protections, oppressors deserve their scorn and are to be punished.

The left hate Republicans and Conservatives and view them as bad people. In their minds it will always be okay to treat them unfairly. The liberal left today, are no different than the racists of the Democratic Party past. They have just replaced their scorn for "the colored people" and replaced it with scorn for Republicans and Conservatives. While they force Republicans to the back of the bus, they will never see themselves as Bull Conner.

Right, because we all know how much love Repubs and Cons shower the Left with...my lord. At this point BOTH sides have their fair share of people who hates the other side. This is undeniable.

And how specifically is the Left treating Repubs and Cons unfairly? How is the Left "forcing Republicans to the back of the bus"? Are Repubs being pushed around by bleeding heart liberals???

I don't know where you get this stuff from. So now conservatives seek to discriminate against people with disabilities? Whatever.

But I get it, the notion of Conservatives hating cripples is one of those tightly gripped negative stereotypes that you cling to, in order to justify and reinforce your prejudices. Some of the most virulent haters of Conservatives have some of the most ludicrous stereotypes for conservatives. The more the person hates conservatives, the more ludicrous are their list of stereotypes.

So if you run a hardware store, and you see a rebel flag, or coexist bumper sticker on an employees car, you can fire them if you find out they are a member of the KKK or antifa, or some other fringe group that you don't like?

    Can't answer can you?
You know that I can't be forced to do business with one of the non protected groups.
Therefore this bill does not represent equal opportunity, but rather, privelege

Trump promised to progress rights for the gay and transgender community.

how exactly has he done that?

would he veto this bill if it passes?

Which group was it that forced a Mozilla CEO to resign for his privately held views on marriage?
Which group of people routinely protests to ban conservative speakers on college campus?
Which group banned people from their TV show if they did not adopt the correct position on man-made climate change?

I could go on, but it's as I said. The haters on the left see themselves as the righteous and good people, deciding who is, and who is not acceptable. They see it as their duty to discriminate against the bad people. These people are the new Bull Connors, and they don't even recognize this about themselves.

As I said...there are people on BOTH sides who hate the other side. You seem to forget about the countless examples of LGBT being discriminated against because of their sexual preference. A quick google search of "examples of LGBT discrimination" will give you plenty of info.
Again, all I'm saying is both sides show hate. Amazing you can't admit that.

This is a strange non sequitur. Regardless there are laws against coercion for sex. This law is not discriminatory.

This has been an interesting thread to follow. I couldn't imagine why anyone would oppose a bill that would extend rights to the LGBT community when it came to jobs or rentals. So my question is whether or not people actually oppose them having the rights or if people are just following political allegiance...

One of the common themes, from those against this bill, is that they feel these are extra protections that white hetero males don't have. You know, because white hetero males have had such a long history of being discriminated against in this country and it's about time they were afforded some protections against all the oppression they've have to endure.

I didn't know that hetero white males are discriminated against with respect to jobs and rental properties. And if they were, they would have the law on their side when it came to suing their employers or potential landlords. And really, that's all that is being afforded to the LGBT community. They will not automatically get jobs or rentals, but they can't be eliminated from the possibility based upon their sexual orientation.
