The majority reject the US demand, good enough for, even that I think it was stupid.

No Reagan as president. Then no George H.W. Bush as president.

One Boeing senior test pilot has given an interview complaining that the simulator used in the evaluation of the questionable software was in itself malfunctioning. Why are you convinced Boeing is without fault? I spend 20 years in aerospace and allow not a pilot, am generally familiar with FMEAs and how they are conducted. Explain how they got around that in the qualification for the software and design changes.

I have been a pilot for 39 years. I have flown some airplanes that have placards on them declaring... do not spin this airplane. Cessna for instance does not mind those being spun. So it is up to a pilot to know his airplane. My main case is we know of 2 crashes. None for American pilots. We know the airplane deliveries were close to 400 of them. Sold and flying passengers. This is not a major problem. Sure the software and a pitot tube needed changing. But pilots are pilots to fly airplanes. To allow one to get out of control while tens of thousands of other pilots have no problem says the problem is mostly with two pilots and crew and in particular two particular airline firms.

Boeing wants to make the plane bullet proof and will. I think the public must learn that only 2 pilots and crews crashed and that they worked for foreign airlines. Simple as that.

Our media as found using Google is keeping this a secret. I simply want to know if the vote was closer than our German friend allows it was? I expect that today Berlin is like most huge cities and is ruled by hard core supporters of .... well socialism ideology. I find no vote either for the government of Germany only the city government.

Well...sort of. He also almost tripled the debt, by tax cuts without spending cuts. In a 2017 CSPAN survey of Presidential Historians, Reagan ranked 9th among the Presidents, behind Lincoln, Washington, FDR, Theodore Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Truman, Jefferson and Kennedy.

Boeing had to react to the 320 neo. So they southern engineered the Max. The larger engines needed to be mounted further in front of the wing.
Which meant they would produce lift and unbalance the plane.
Because of that, they needed a electronic system, so the plane would fly within the excepted parameters and could get certified.
They were allowed to certify their system by themselves, without proper oversight.
They did some serious short cuts, ignored warning, omitted crucial information in training manual, had a lower budged plane available, were the system warnings and turn off were not available, as in the 2 that crashed.
Once the system had used its automatic trim function and a certain degree was reached, nobody could with the trim wheel adjust the trim anymore, overload.
Boeing had lots of warnings, even from US airline pilots, who flew planes with the shut of function, that there is a serious problem.
It chose to ignore it, till 2 planes crashed, belonging to airlines with very good records

    Boeing screwed up big time.

The government of Germany had no say in it, the city of Berlin has its own government.
The government of German cities has a great diversity, far left, left, middle to conservative and even very far right.
I am a German conservative, or what is called a Liberal ( European meaning) Conservative, or what would be called in the US a Ragan Democrat, I write this, because of my view of the Berlin Senate.
It is a coalition between Spd, Linke and Gruene.
SPD is social democrats, middle left to left US Democrats, Linke is Socialist, Left of the SPD, its origin is the former SED and KPD, Gruene is the Green Party, beside environment a wild mix of left and moderate conservatives and left liberals, what connects them is the environment.
In Berlin the Gruene are from their left wing.
The Berlin Senate is as chaotic as it can be and the government as left as it can be.
But than Berlin has always been special, West Berlin was a magnet for left activists, artists, communes and so on. It had always the feeling of being on the edge in a marode way, half dead and vital at the same time. The so called scene has never left, a strange city and now it has the Eastern part thrown into the mix.
To top it of it is the Capital now, with the Federal Government.
I can not think of any city in the world, that is political and from its society such a wild mix.

And not one bit of help to spend from the Democrats eh? I have written brief essays on why Reagan is our top ranked president. Our present official rankers are from the Democratic party.

This will be settled in courts, by lawyers, most of whom will not be pilots. It will be primarily a contractual argument. Did Boeing promise more than it delivered?

I can understand ranking Lincoln, Washington and maybe FDR ahead of Reagan. Perhaps even Theodore Roosevelt and Eisenhower.

But Truman widely met with failure in all respects of his time in office both foreign and domestic.
Jefferson himself considered his own presidency a failure.
And everyone knows Kennedy is hideously overrated.

Yes he was and became one of the most defining chancellors of West Germany.
In my opinion, besides Adenauer, he was the first who gave West Germany a voice in the world, with the East Contracts and the opening with East Germany.
My home town played a special part in it.
It is the most central city in all of Germany, it was the reason for it to be chosen for the meeting. It had a nice side effect. The Palace of Wilhelmshoehe had been for years under reconstruction, burned out in WWII. But their was never enough funding to get it finished.
Because of the Stoph and Brand meeting, millions were suddenly available.
It is a grand sight today, a museum with one of the largest collections of Rembrand, a World Heritage.
I watched the motorcade, history. Without really knowing, my guess, Brand put that seed of freedom down, hind sight from me.

I don't get the impression that most Democrats even think about Obama anymore, but I sure do see the redhats going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about him. Hillary, too, but Obama even more so.

They were presidential historians selected by CSPAN and given 10 presidential "qualities" to judge. Then the factors were totaled and the presidents ranked. I imagine that the historians had academic qualifications in history and/or were the authors of presidential biographies. Personally, I might disagree with several of the rankings, but I'll yield to their expertise. if you have a list composed by some other experts, which places Reagan at the top of the list, I'd be happy to look at it.
