And another frivolous lawsuit goes down the drain. When will the Democrat members of Congress start doing their JOBS and passing the needed legislation like the new trade deal? This group didn't even have standing.

Lawmakers Suing Trump Over Enrichment Get a Grilling on Standing

Two appeals court judges questioned whether 215 congressional Democrats can sue President Donald Trump for being enriched by foreign governments without official backing for the suit from the entire Congress.

U.S. Circuit judges David Tatel and Thomas Griffith in Washington repeatedly pressed the legislators’ attorney on Monday to address that issue as she sought to preserve trial court rulings allowing the lawsuit to go forward in the face of an appeal by the president’s attorneys.

“Congress speaks through a vote of the majority,” said Tatel, a nominee of President Bill Clinton and the lone Democratic appointee on the three-judge panel. “You don’t even have one house.”

Led by Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, House and Senate lawmakers sued Trump two years ago, accusing him of violating the U.S. Constitution’s foreign-emoluments clause, which prohibits federal officials including the president from accepting benefits from other nations without first asking Congress for consent........

How are the two of you celebrating a president enriching himself off of his position.
This is a fireable offense for just about every single company in existence and was previously for government officials also.

The precedent being set by this administration... and cheered on by his base... is just sad on so many levels.

How is 'getting a grilling', but no decision rendered, a 'win'? Seems like it's more of a 'favorable view towards a win', but usually Judicial 'Wins' are accompanied by a decision...

I'm just curious the position you take on the enrichment of the Obama's. Just for comparison sake.

Barrack was a freshmen Illinois senator and community organizer before becoming president. Now, their net worth is 40 million.

    So what?

A former POTUS can get anywhere from 500k to a Million for a speech.

Getting a win is pretty easy to figure out. The rabid attacks from the democrat party members with severe TDS have been trying to get Trump out of office from the day he won in a landslide victory over Hillary Clinton. EVERYTHING they have tried has backfired and made Trump and his supporters that much stronger and his popularity has been growing since the impeachment. I love the Richard Blumenthal lawsuit. This asshat and his known stolen valor makes everything this asshat offers to be a joke.
Now, none of the above will dissuade the alt-leftie posters on various political forums but many of us will excuse that as we somewhat enjoy their misery.

Was it the communist Bill Ayers was the ghostwriter for?

Good on the OP, Trump's judicial appointees will make short work of these frivolous lawsuits.

Yeah, none of that has anything to do with Trumps personal enrichment through his office. Nice deflection though.

I believe he made the bulk of that money writing books and for speaking engagements. Michelle also sat on numerous boards.

If you have any examples of them profiting from his position as president I will be happy to denounce them.
Care to list a few as I have not seen any?

Since you are obviously upset that Obama supposedly “enriched” himself off of the office, are you also upset with trump or does it get a pass because of the (r) beside his name?

Not like Biden didn't use his position to get his son coke snorting son millions of dollars from China and Ukraine.

Trump is not like Biden, he doesn't need the money.

Where and when did Obama use his office to gain those assets. He certainly didn't have real estate to lend out for official business.

Trump supporters shamelessly ignore the corruption.

So you do you not believe he’s using his office to enrich him self, or just don’t care?

You think his books would have sold if he wouldn't have been president?

I'm not upset about anything, just pointing out the hypocritical positions.

No? Which one is suing to hide their finances? Which one is frequently sued for not paying people? Which one has multiple bankruptcies?

they DID sell before he was president. If there was evidence that foreign govt were vying his books to curry favor, I’d agree. I’ll remind you that trump and his son have books out there, yet nobody has claimed that’s an emoluments issue.

One publisher gets a 360 million contract from Obama for common core and Obama gets a 40 or so million payment for a book.

Netflix gets favorable treatment from the Obama WH and Obama gets a Netflix deal.

    Quid pro quo anyone?

No, unlike the coke snorting Hunter Biden, Trump give his salary away every quarter. Seems like you are looking under the wrong rocks from crime. :)

Don't think he could hand out contracts from the government as a civilian.
