This is why the facts, no matter how you twist them, will not exonerate Trump

Your bias is already well known. For you, there would have been no other, nor expected, response.

    Everything leads to:

Trump attempted to extort President Zelensky.

    Trump is obstructing the House.

If you cannot see it...I figure you do not want to see it.

Zelensky says no, but for some reason, people that want to skin Trump alive, seem to think there is. I wonder why that is? I think of it as absolutely sure, by osmosis.

I can understand that you believe that. It follows everything else you've posted.

You seem unwilling to take into account that if President Zelensky thinks that Trump is willing to extort him...

...it might be a GREAT idea to deny that he felt any extortion.

Okay...pretend that is not only a possibility...but a high probability.

I think that the people still supporting Trump either willingly do not want to see what a POS he is...or are not very bright.

I refuse to think of anyone here as "not very bright."

So I am left with "they simply do not want to see it."

I've been asking the same thing Sandy..
They whine about Socialists while they beg for Dictatorship.
Once they have successfully destroyed the balance of power
and placed Trump above the law, there is no longer a Democracy.

"You know what else they say about my people? The polls, they say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s like incredible," Trump said.

    **** this is dumb.

It doesn't take a retard to lose a presidential election to a retard. Retards will vote for a retard. Not enough non-retards voted in 2016. This is why Hillary Clinton lost. That and she's a bad politician. She couldn't rally her base (i.e., non-retards). But she's far smarter than any who has served as president in modern history, including her husband, and especially our current president who is retarded.

Maybe people just wanted to vote for someone who wouldn't be working against their interests?

Yes. That's why they don't have the sole power to make arrests.

    And my analysis was correct.

So you tried to get him to do something because you were going to impeach him, he refused and now you're going to impeach him?

Sorry if I can't stop laughing.

No matter what happens, Trump is indelibly marked as the third president to be impeached. Nothing will change that and it will be in history books forever. The Senate is another matter.

The Senate is in a tough spot. If they choose to ignore the Contempt of Congress charge they will also go down in the history books as the most anti-Constitutional Senate in history. It couldn't be any clearer that Trump obstructed Congress by denying Congressional Subpoenas, tampered with witnesses, and intimidated witnesses. He continues to do so.

Even more significantly, if the Senate lets this go, what does that say about the role of Congress as a coequal branch of government? Is it now just an adjunct to the Executive Branch? Moscow Mitch may be good politician but a poor historian, a checker board player. Does Mitch even think of the consequences of such an act? It will be huge and Mitch will go down in history as a corrupt, incompetent, idiot.

Then the answer is yes. Any and all citizens must follow the laws that Congress passes.

I have no idea. The poster asked the question. Hopefully they'll have some great "point" to make after I answered.

I don't know why you jump into debates when you don't even know what it's about.

The dem clown show ignored all protocol and will impeach the President along hyper-partisan lines. Do the dems even think of the consequences of such an act? It will be huge and history will not be kind. Idiots.

If Trump is given a pass in the Senate, those lines in the Hannity interview will live in History for centuries.

And they will definitely be used over and over during the campaign. I can't believe that Moscow Mitch is that stupid. Maybe he did it on purpose? And that's how he's getting back at Trump?

There is no "pass" to be given to Trump. The House is the villian, here. They are abusing their powers for political gain.

How did the House abuse power? They operated within Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution.

Who else has the authority to make arrests?

How does these others' authority to make arrests protect the rights of citizens?

They used it unjustly. There is no treason, bribery, high crime, or misdemeanor. A charade is not an excuse to impeach a president. It's completely unsupportable. I can't understand how anyone can support this.

You obviously didn't watch any witness testimony or you wouldn't hold those views. Try C-SPAN next time. There was bribery, contempt of Congress, witness intimidation (in plain sight) and all are high crimes or misdemeanors.

Purely political partisan ship is the only way to support what the House has done.

I don't watch TV and C-span was, sadly, taken off of satellite radio years ago. The cable networks all covered it, though.

I'll confess that I couldn't stand to listen to it while the Democratics were spewing.

At some point, partisans should revert to the basic ideas of right and wrong.

This constant breakage of all norms of common decency, in the name of political expediency, is destroying the country.
