Bottom line though you didn't bother to answer any question I asked you because if you did honestly you would admit that Trump fighting China on trade and making us less dependent by reducing regulation and corp taxes is exactly the best way not to rely on China and allow them to threaten what they did in the OP.

Trust me I know, I own a business. That's why lowering corp taxes and regulation in some industry is essential to becoming less reliant on China, creates more jobs, creates more tax income long term due to more business and employees.

 

Sure, then why did he give these "corrupt" corporate executives a huge corporate tax break? As reward for offshoring our jobs? He has done nothing to address the problem where it needs to be addressed, i.e. make it less profitable to offshore the jobs. The tariffs with China will make the corporations just move the jobs from China to the next low-wage and no-regulation country.

Ofcourse and exactly why to lower taxes. Do you really think American companies want to deal with China or Mexico? Every company wants to be in the United States but in a lot of cases it's cost prohibitive. You would be surprised how many companies have popped up in the last two years because of the reduced tax rate.

Supposedly, freedom from regulation and lowered taxes were supposed to have business flourish and make America a "Golden Age"!

Instead, Trump and Republican policies to give theoretically business and the wealthy money "to grow America" instead has had business owners simply do massive buybacks of stock and make even larger cash accumulations.

China still holds the reins for the all critical infrastructure for medicine and technology, and the only effects have allowed to double and triple pharma costs to consumers with NO efforts to "onshore" our critical technologies.

The only effort has been for Trump to supposedly to have some steel come to America, which hardly worked and there are multiple sources to buy steel anyway, the domestic steel industry will require subsidy to be be competitive.
