China hints at denying Americans life-saving coronavirus drugs

I read somewhere in the last week that we are almost 100% dependent on China for our antibiotics. If we couldn't get antibiotics, the death toll would make Coronavirus look like hay fever.

It would be rational for corporations to diversify manufacturing across several countries, if not bring capabilities for complete self-sufficiency back within our borders.

In 2007, China sickening and killed a lot of our cats and dogs by knowingly substituting melamine in a product which was used by practically every pet food manufacturer here. You think they value us humans any more than they value our pets?

 

What part of the trade discussions are referring to ? - as most of these trade issues have nothing to do with the systemic issues that led to outsourcing of our manufacturing base.
