You assume i have sent him a dime and its funny. Yes i voted for him as he is far superior to Hilary and the same applies to Biden.
Your comment is a deflection from my comment. Also, the debt only became a problem when President Reagan cut the top tax rate from 70% to 28%. From the end of the Second War to the last full year of Jimmy Carter's presidency there was a steady decline in the national debt as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP). This declined during the wars in Korea and Vietnam.
So did Congress. It didn't work out for them either. You can't get anyone's tax return to look for a crime. You have to have a crime that clearly provides evidence linked to a tax return before you have any hope of getting a copy. Claiming Trump is a criminal doesn't past the test.
I don't understand the fuss...why doesn't Trump just show his tax info? What difference does it make? No matter how much he screwed over other taxpayers by not paying his fair share his loyal followers, including those on the Supreme Court, will just blow if off...nothing would be done about it....so what's the big deal...??
They shouldn't be revealed in civil litigation either. I'm a believer in limited government. Government demands a tax return. It is very private information. If tax returns were optional I wouldn't have a problem. They aren't. That makes them a special case to me.
Sorry but there are lots of documents and things that are private. Arguably far more private than your tax returns. If the police can seize and search your computer, browsing history, all the photos and videos you keep, bank records, I really don’t see tax returns as being any different. I suspect you have nailed your colors to the mast because this is trump but you would have no problem if it were a Dem.
Yeah. But regardless of what we think should be subject to subpoena, tax returns are. So he is eventually going to have to turn them over.
Not the slightest freaking clue... Republicans would require a conviction and 10 years of prison time served before you can begin or continue an investigation... But who's the bigger fool?? Them, for being fools, or Us, for believing they will ever understand or care??
I also believe Congressional Committees can get ANY Tax Return.... Why do I believe this?? Because it's written in the law that was written to get tax returns to Congressional committees...
I'm going to say that anything i write that counters what you say is going to be reported as a "deflection"... Ive been here for years man i have seen it all. Good luck to you.
Sad that I keep to have doing this, but one day it might sink in... Hope springs eternal SNIP 3 Section 6103(f)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) reads: Upon written request from the chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives, the chairman of the Committee on Finance of the Senate, or the chairman of the Joint Committee on Taxation, the Secretary [of the Treasury] shall furnish such committee with any return or return information specified in such request, except that any return or return information which can be associated with, or otherwise identify, directly or indirectly, a particular taxpayer shall be furnished to such committee only when sitting in closed executive session unless such taxpayer otherwise consents in writing to such disclosure.4 ENDSNIP https://www.americanprogress.org/is...ident-trump-cannot-hide-tax-returns-congress/ Shall furnish.... any return..... or return information... specified in such request....
The source code they use goes right back to the site quoting it...... Just saying your Progressive site cant follow simple sourcing rules or they are lazy take your pick. This is being fought in the courts for a reason. The intention of said law is not for a witchhunt.. If you would have bothered to read the President has the same power however he has to disclose the reason why the request is being put out. Do you really think when it comes to information Congress has more power then the President? Hmm? (1) In generalUpon written request by the President, signed by him personally, the Secretary shall furnish to the President, or to such employee or employees of the White House Office as the President may designate by name in such request, a return or return information with respect to any taxpayer named in such request. Any such request shall state— (A) the name and address of the taxpayer whose return or return information is to be disclosed, (B) the kind of return or return information which is to be disclosed, (C) the taxable period or periods covered by such return or return information, and (D) the specific reason why the inspection or disclosure is requested. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/6103 ^^^^^^ a proper source link
