You might find something in the bible that you could interpret as saying
this, but it doesn't make much sense to me. The bible says we are judged
by what we believe. Wouldn't make sense if we had no control.

Is that any worse than the self righteous Christian motivations for residential schools to learn how to be "civilized"?

According to the fairy tale, on Judgment Day you will be judged by your works. = Revelation 20:11-15.

It says that even demons believe = James 2:19.

Please don't say "the fairy tale" but "I hope it's only a fairy tale."

Don't know what 'residential school' here means. But are you attacking civilization?

Do you remember what Paul said about Jewish fairy tales?

    Titus 1:13-14Contemporary English Version (CEV)
13 That surely is a true saying. And you should be hard on such people, so you can help them grow stronger in their faith. 14 Don’t pay any attention to any of those senseless Jewish stories and human commands. These are made up by people who won’t obey the truth.

Paul wasn't referring to the Tanakh (our Old Testament) but their
Mishnah and the Gemara probably. There is a Christian equivalent
in early Catholic doctrines. Most of the Gospels have stories attached
to them, such as Mother Mary's saintly and wealthy background. Paul
    warned about this, too.

You do realize that the Bible consists of nothing but Jewish fairy tales, don't you? So, therefore if Titus 1:14 is a true statement, why would anyone believe any of it? Think about all of the silly things you believe as a result.

You're claiming belief in God is delusional, then to be fair you must also claim disbelief in God is delusional as well. The fact remains that no one can prove/disprove the existence of God. Therefore, if you believe there is a God you can't prove that He exist, likewise if you don't believe there is God you can't prove that He doesn't exist.
However we have faith, which is true for both sides. Faith can be defined as unquestioning belief that does not require proof or evidence. We Christians have faith that God exist, likewise unbelievers have faith that God doesn't exist.

So instead of playing the game of belittling/disparaging people by calling them delusional why don't we be civil about this and just say we are people of faith when it comes to believing/not believing in the existence of God. Yeah that's more appropriate and civil...don't you think?

    We Read in Scripture:

Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ said,

    The Golden Rule

12 "Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." Matthew 7:12 NLT

where's here? Thought you were aussie.

Residential schools were set up to take aboriginies and first nations children away from their parents and the reservations the white man stuffed them into, in order to make them ready for a "civilized" existence in the British Commonwealth - the biggest most serious white hegemony in history.

https://prezi.com/gevctepvcint/residential-schools-in-new-zealand-australia/#:~:text=In Australia, the first schools, closed down in the 1980s.

in Canada, this artifact of colonialism and christian righteousness will forever be be a indelible stain on our national honor. Much like America's stain of slavery on theirs and in turn much like them, we are still struggling to repair the damage and remove its vestiges.

True equality, so why do some christians deny gay people the same rights that they enjoy?

Oh, okay. I am Aussie. Don't care if you don't believe this story: several of my aunties shifted to
New Zealand. One raised two Maori girls. One girl later discovered she was actually aborigine.
It was in the old Sun newspaper, front page I think - she came to Melbourne and met her parents
in Richmond. She asked them, "Mum, Dad, why are you so poor?"
and they replied, "Because we are aboriginal."
"But Mum, Dad, I AM ABORIGINAL TOO! And I am a Property Developer!"
And that underscores the problem. IMO the biggest mistake white Australia made was that in the
cultural ferment of the 1960's we agreed that aboriginals don't need to be like us. And things like
'self determination' and 'land rights' and 'sorry day' and a never ending, conga line of 'issues'
serve to keep the victim hood and racialization of aborigines going.
We are not talking about 'white hegemony' here - Asians and Indians will own Australia tomorrow.
And white Aussies can live with that. The real hegemony is, I hope, a liberal democratic, capitalist
peace loving world. Will we have aborigines in this world just living in hovels, spending their Centerlink
payments on grog, chip on their shoulder, demanding their own separate nation?

People used to think King David was a fairy tale - until we found the evidence of the House of David.
And the lists of kings was considered to be largely fairy tales - but these guys are slowly surfacing too.
And lists of towns, cities and even one civilization was thought to be a fairy tale until archaeology proved otherwise.
And Moses and the Exodus is still thought a fairy tale - but we are finding many nations were in transit or crisis at this time.
And we found the cultic center of Shiloh where the ark of the covenant resided - complete with the horns of the altar and animal sacrifices.
And many felt that idea of a Jew was a fairy tale, until genetics proved the point (even finding the lineage of Moses through the Cohens)
And we thought there couldn't be that many people in biblical Israel - until studies of the Timna valley showed us otherwise.
And I put it to you that the first creation account in Genesis 1 is stunningly accurate in its sequence of events (but written theologically)

The last residential school in Austrialia closed in the 80's. Change the nouns and your story could come out of the mouth of a good ol' Mississippi boy or a hoser from Souix Lookout, Ontario. I wonder what the subjects of their disdain have in common.......hmmmm.

I too hope for a liberal democratic peace loving world, only in mine capitalism is buttressed by a strong social safety net and reasonable market fences (anti trust etc). And like you my vision is of a multi cultural multi racial one where each has an opportunity to realize their full human potential.

Yes, and studies show aborigines raised in Western homes tend to do better
    than those who are not.
My brother registered himself as an aborigine - he told me he doesn't have to
wear a push bike helmet anymore, "because I am aborigine and the cops don't
    touch aborigines."
You can be assured bike injuries will be included in any assessment of the suffering
of aborigines, and how much "we don't care."

yes its amazing what an huge increase in standard of living can accomplish.

I get it. You don't like aborigines. Like I said, I can graft your exact responses on white people around the world. I haven't had any exposure to environments where white men are "oppressed" minorities, so I can't say for sure that this is just a white thing or its a human thing attributable to all us bigots.

WanRen had his opinion and so did I. So because they were opinions I can't say one way or the other who was correct. Only God knows who is correct. If you want to see our opinions again you can find WanRen's post #377 on pg. 16 of Part 4 and my post #207 is on pg. 9 of Part 10.

There is a story in the Jewish Babylonian Talmud that claims that the Romans killed BILLIONS of Jews in just one town. Will you also believe that fairy tale?

There's lots of super weird things in non-Tanakh (not the Old Testament)
One I read was that Moses was born with green skin.

Maybe it was his green skin that enabled him to go without food and water for 40 days and 40 nights on 2 occasions.

Acceptance within the church of the lord thy god might be a start. AFterall, he is their god too and he made them the way they are.

It makes logical sense to me.

No, there is an observable pattern that develops and that's why meteorologist are real good today in predicting/forecasting rainfall...sometimes a week or more in advance before it rains.

Agree, and this amazing design points toward an intelligent, powerful designer who created it.

The laws that are our source for morality...the Holy Bible and our conscience.

If all this existence came about accidentally then we wouldn't have natural laws, everything would be chaotic and unpredictable and being if that would be the case...chaos, I doubt that there would be any living beings among the chaos. How could we survive with such chaos going on continuously. But because there is a substantial amount of order in the universe, which allows for living beings to live, it could not be accidental but designed to be that way.

It is explained...it's explained thoroughly in the Holy Bible, which has always been referred to as being the Word of God.

Well that's your opinion, everybody is entitled to their own opinions whether they be true or not....I'll just leave it at that. In closing let me bring up something that we read in scripture.

    We Read in Scripture:

10 And they were shouting with a great roar,
“Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne
and from the Lamb!” Rev. 7:10 NLT
