The US and South Korea had their first cases on almost the same day. Within a week, in late Jan, the leader of SK had called together the heads of the industries involved and told them what was coming and what was needed. The result was when they had a true outbreak they were ready with the needed testing, tracing and all the equipment they would need. Their medical personnel did not need to wear the same N-95 mask for multiple days in a row. SK has had 33 deaths per million people. I would say being proactive worked pretty well.

Trump did this same thing in late March. By then the cat was out of the bag and we were playing catch up, which was impossible to do.

Trump should have also been honest with the American people and not hid the truth from us. They knew how bad it was going to be, yet this time last year we were still told it would be gone in a couple of weeks.

Thus the US has had over 1650 deaths per million people.

Doubtful as I doubt Trump would have found it to be significant.

That's a confusing combination of "Trump" and "they." In terms of the stupid claim that it would be gone in a couple of weeks, that was specifically Trump, right? Meanwhile, Fauci was on national TV in late February saying that people didn't need to change anything about their lives. So I trust that you also hold him accountable too.
