Why did they all go to the polls on the first day of what 3 weeks of voting? And blacks run those county elections where it occurred, they set where the polling places will be and how many are needed which is based on the previous vote. And you don know that are no Black polling places and White polling places although I would not be surprised if that is not the next Dem/Left/MSM/Progresive/Liberal demand.

I don't think pro sports of any kind should become political activist. It's bad enough that our news networks have taken sides in our political battles becoming propaganda wings for the major political parties. Well, I guess pro sports now have to become political also.

When I tune in to watch sports, it's a way to leave the real world and its politics behind. To escape reality in a way. Not to have that reality hit one in the face. But perhaps sports becoming political activist they may pay for that in the long run. Corporations also should just concentrate on selling their products and leave politics out of it.

Nearly half of American sports fans changed viewing habits because of social justice

    https://sports.yahoo.com/nearly-hal...bits-because-of-social-justice-192601834.html

I don't need pro sports, not if they become political activist for one side or the other. Politics has its arena, MLB and other sports their arena. They shouldn't mix.

Read snips from the law and the associated analysis.... seems like a thing, although there are enough loopholes to drive T**** through...

I imagine adventurous people in Georgia are salivating to put this to the test... Costco will do a brink water sales business during the next primary....

I think the MLB should stick to sports and leave voting regulations to the legislators.

I have and it is no different from every other state. Have you really fallen for this strawman the Dems/Left/Progs/Liberals are spouting? The law says within 150 of the polling place and 25 feet of the line of voters.

    What's the problem?

"The law makes it a misdemeanor to give away food or water within 150 feet of the outer edge of a polling place building or within 25 feet of any voter in line. Violations of this law are punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. While people other than poll workers can give away food or water, they have to adhere to these boundaries to avoid breaking the law.

Holmes emphasized in an email to PolitiFact that water is allowed, but from an unattended receptacle. And he repeated his assertion that the law is targeted at preventing people from political organizations from making such handouts."

Your just WRONG...accept it an move on.

The old law said “normal business hours” which allowed each county the ability to define what those hours were. The new law says “9-5” but “can be 7am-7pm” but is based on the country board of election. Previously many counties were open until 9:00 PM.

The biggest problem with the new law is , if a majority of the five-member board decides that a county's elections officials have been doing their job poorly, the board can suspend those officials and replace them with one person the board has hand-picked to serve as a temporary superintendent, with the same powers the officials had. SO basically, if they dont want to do a recount, they just kick the board out, replace them with an SINGLE INDIVIDUAL who can then legally define who wins an election.

But dont worry, I’m sure you would be perfectly fine with that if the legislature was under democratic control.

Think about that one for a second...

"or within 25 feet of any voter in line."

Does that mean you have to throw stuff at them?

Regardless of how we parse this or how completely it will be ignored, it's the GOP making really stupid law here... purely out of fear....

More lies and bullcrap? The 9 to 5 statement only pertained to run off elections and on Saturdays. Nothing changed the times to vote 7A-7P. Your hero Joe Biden also lied that it ended early voting which it does not.

Biggest lies of course are that a law is somehow melanin biased. That is your obsession though.

Christie is a racist(Racist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)) for bringing up the FACT that early voting is twice as long in Georgia after this bill as it is in New Jersey.

    Facts are racist!

Note the black media bimbo said that 17 days of early voting are not enough not realizing other states like New Jersey have less. What an idiot.

By the way we have 20 days of early voting here in Tennessee. The idiots would call that racist also.

Of course they all support HR1 now, because like the GOP company line for this Georgia law, it expands access to the ballot box...

That's all it takes to be accepted by conservatives..

    Yay!!

Sadly, MLB knows as much about proper voting regulations as Georgia legislators...

Mayor Keisha (not to be confused with Mayor Pete) says this is just the first of many dominos that might hit Georgia over this..

The below link will take you to a page that details how bad Psaki and Biden are lying to us. On top of the lies about Georgia and illegals, I saw that Psaki was questioned about the infrastructure bill where only 5% of the money is going to roads and bridges, and when asked where the rest of the money is going to dodged the question. The below site has a transcript of the give and take, back and forth, dodging and lying.

Is anyone fact checking Biden and Psaki? Bueller?

WHICH ELECTION DAY??? JFC you do know there are elections held year round every year. Voting for governor and House Rep and Senator is just as important to me as President and all my state and local elections are highly important to me.

And with early voting and mail in voting why does the last day have to be a day off, wouldn't that just entice people not to vote until that last day? What about people who already voted why should they get a day off anyway?

That's exactly what they're doing. Baseball didn't demand anything of the legislature or governor. They're simply taking their business elsewhere, which is everyone's right. Atlanta's loss is somebody's gain. Who will it be? Looks like DFW and Houston are out. All but two states have similar bills making the rounds. Smart states will put the brakes on, at least until after the game.

I'm conflicted as well, just not for the same reason. The architect of the lies surrounding what this law actually is, Stacy Abrams, has been begging businesses not to punish Georgia. But you see my conflict is with understanding her rationalization. Because if this law is "literally Jim Crow 2.0" then surely its worth the sacrifice to fight it, right? Surely this fight against 'racism', the single greatest and most prolific cataclysmic threat to the existence of existence itself (according to the left), is worth a few lost jobs, right?

Of course I'm being facetious as anyone who has read the law knows its not one damn bit close to anywhere near what the left is claiming and even Stacey Abrams and her servant in this matter, President Biden, realize they are going too far. All they wanted was for people to get fooled, get angry, and get their checkbooks out. Now that the cancel culture clowns have drawn blood on their side they want it to stop. I say plow forward with this, go after the companies with a large enough public face to be concerned about the mob, bring the Delta's and the Coke's to their knees with the wrath of SJW outrage. Of course the fact these companies are so large in the first place typically denotes their operations would be in the large Democrat controlled cities whereby most of the jobs they'd cut would be the sort of low income ones Democrats are always saying minorities have but sacrifices have to be made right?

Sorry to disappoint you but due to the NYT making the law a picture, I had to retype. I'm sure any grammatical errors were my problem. I'm glad that all you have to gripe about is my grammar or spelling though.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/02/us/politics/georgia-voting-law-annotated.html
Jump to page 74 and review lines 1884 through 1889.

After reviewing this bill, it does make me kind of mad. When I'm out on the golf course, I have to bring my own water, buy it from a drink cart (whenever that comes along), or get it myself out of a self serve cooler which are only located hundreds of yards apart. Such a racist and inconvenient thing to put people through. I mean why can't I have a golf coach personally deliver water and golf advice as I play?

BS. It doesn’t “add” early voting days. The laws was ALWAYS 3 weeks prior. The difference is that it takes away the provision “normal business hours”. But you knew that and just keep spewing crap.It also makes one of the Sundays “optional”, THUS is actually shortens the early voting. Biden is factually correct

I see you ignored the provision that allows the state to take over county election boards with a single “appointed” representative to make all decisions on recounts, disputes, etc. Again, I’m sure you will be ok with that when the dems hold the majority right ?

This whole thing started because a chain pizza shop for a PR opportunity, saw the huge lines, called tv station to tell them they are helping people waiting in line with slices of pizza and water...No one was campaigning, no advertising for a candidate...it was a publicity stunt!
