Apparently the MLB doesn't like the fact that in any one place, the same rules apply equally to everyone there.

It doesn't really matter. Atlanta is out. Who will be the winner? I say the game should be played in Fairbanks, at midnight, which will make it a day game.

Wherever they play, they will be poor sports.

So every time there is an election every voter who qualifies to vote in it should get the entire day off from work BY LAW. This is what you are demanding? Including run off elections? Including referendums? EVERY vote.
And again with all the early voting and mail in voting why is that even necessary?

I think we need to do away with the idea of "Election day" and have an election period. People are too stuck on the whole day thing. We are just too large for an election day.

What difference does it make if you call it "election day" or "last day of election period"?

Are we really too large? I would say 95% of the country, probably even higher than that, have very little problems at the polls getting it done in the allotted time on Election Day!

Where are the problems then? Same place we have so many problems, large cities run by Democrats! The point of failure again - Democrats!

You have to end it at some time. I have voted on election day all my life and never had a problem doing so in the several states in which I have lived. And now most states have weeks of voting before election day and mail in voting so I can't understand the demand everyone get a full day holiday on that last day of voting.

I'm sad to hear that you're "done" - but hey it's your loss after all. Good luck getting that professional baseball atmosphere from your local beer league. Some of my best memories are with my kids at the ball park.
And as a die hard Dodgers fan I couldn't give two sh*ts about MLB politics.

A lot. What you call something affects how people view it. After this last election a lot of my friends and family on the right were bitching because the counting was taking too long, they all pretty much said the same thing "Whatever happened to Election DAY" Stop calling something "early voting" as that makes it sound different, and just call it voting

I would say you are wrong, which is why almost 100 million people voted before "Election Day" in 2020. Do you really think that 150 million plus people can all vote in person on a single day? That is just stupid, and even more is why you would think such a thing was the right way to go.

It is not about who runs them, it is about a large number of people in a small area. Of course it is going to be easer to vote in Hill City Kansas than in Chicago.

Math really does not seem to be your thing. Put away you hyperpartisanship for just 5 minutes and use your brain.

I agree there is no reason to give everyone the day off, which of course is not practical when you add in police and hospitals and the like

I am all for having weeks to vote.

Really? You are going to compare playing golf to standing in a long line to vote?

I'd call that a pretty rock bottom comparison

However, I do miss the water coolers on the course.... Now I have to bring 3 bottles instead of 1 and getting refills...

I'm sure Stacey is torn as well and will be coming out with much better ways to protest over the spring and summer...

MSNBC is calling Biden out for not telling the truth regarding Georgia's new voting law. Atlanta stands to lose a lot of money now that the Allstar game is being moved thanks to Biden and his ignorance? surrounding the new voter laws.

Georgia's election law has pros and cons. But Biden needs to keep it honest.

Biden’s playing a dangerous game with his commentary on Georgia's election bill.
After Georgia’s voting law was passed, Glenn Kessler, editor of The Washington Post’s Fact Checker, ran a comprehensive dissection of the bill that disproves the false claims about timing. The law does not cut off voting on Election Day at 5 p.m. but merely codifies “normal business hours” as 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The new law allows counties the option to extend voting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and it expands the number of mandatory days in which counties must offer early voting while giving counties the option of allowing early voting on Sundays.

But that did not seem to matter. Biden had called the bill “Jim Crow in the 21st Century.” Again, the law provides for more days of early voting options than even supposedly forward-thinking states like New York, which does not allow for the kind of no-excuse absentee voting Georgia now allows. It mandates requests for early absentee balloting two weeks prior to Election Day to ensure that the turnaround time is broad enough so that all cast ballots are counted and fewer arrive after Election Day.

Speaking of strawman(men), The WaPo called Biden out for his misunderstanding of the poll hours, not refreshments in line...

And speaking of people with spines made out of straw, here's the latest from the Scarecrow...

What a ****wad.... how anybody would vote for the idiot who took the time to write such a meaningless letter on official Senate letterhead is beyond my understanding...

I'm going to a ball game tomorrow night....just not professional. They can go pound sand along with Hollywood. I do know it's not everyone in professional sports. Just the ones in control. But I would not feel at all patriotic in going to a game and supporting BLM, or woke liars.

Because Georgia voting regulations apply the same to everyone. And the MLB thinks that's unfair.

For his entire statement 4 of those noses. Has Biden apologized to the citizens of Georgia yet and urged MLB to rescind their decision? Has he called for corporations to pull out of Delaware and New York for their Jim Crowe voting regulations?

Why do you need weeks to vote? In every election I have ever voted there has been ONE day on which I voted. How about starting Saturday through the following Tuesday. The longer you have the polls open and filled out ballots not tabulated you have a window for fraud. We should all vote together as closely as possible so we are all voting with the same information.

Please respond to what I ask........

So every time there is an election every voter who qualifies to vote in it should get the entire day off from work BY LAW. This is what you are demanding? Including run off elections? Including referendums? EVERY vote.
And again with all the early voting and mail in voting why is that even necessary?

So we change the term length for members of the House to every 4 years? My mayor and city council members we have to change to 4 year terms? What if there is a runoff it has to wait until the next election cycle because there is no federal holiday to vote?

What about people who vote early why should they get a day off if they have already voted? Wouldn't everyone wait until election day so they could get a day off negating having all that early voting?
