I don't think so, why not if Georgia is a Jim Crowe state?

That's their opinion, yes. They do have a right to voice their opinion with their wallet, just like us.

I do not need weeks to vote, I just need a stamp and an envelope. But it makes sense to have weeks to vote when you have 150 million plus people voting.

Ballots can be locked up, it is not hard.

Most people have their mind made up long before they vote. There is literally nothing that could change some people's mind. It is really not necessary.

The lower tier league games can be a lot of fun. They go out of their way to make the experience enjoyable and the food and beer does not cost as much

Except MLB would not have moved out of Atlanta if not for Biden telling them they should do so. Does he not realize how much weight is put on words? MSNBC just reported Biden is not telling the truth. The article can be seen on post #194. MSM did not like the lies Trump kept saying and thought the Americans deserved better. They thought Biden would be better but they are finding out he is telling the truth about Georgia's new voting laws. Because of Biden many businesses in Georgia will lose money.

Atlanta's loss is someone else's gain.

And this my friends is why some people stay stuck in the past...."well we have been doing it that way for decades, why change now??".

I just do not get how anyone can live this way. Does change scare you that much.

In 1980, just a few decades ago only 92 million people voted in the US

By 1992 that number had only gone up to 103 million.

By 2004 we were up to 120 million

This past election it was 155 million...that is a 30% increase between 2004 and 2020.

What worked on a small level does not work as more and more and more people vote.

But I get it, you do not want more people voting

Edit to add....this last election I voted by mail. I requested my mail in ballot using personal information, I got it, sent it back with my signature. Was able to track it once it was mailed back. I knew when it was received, accepted and processed.

A lot less money, no politics, and some pretty good baseball. We'll have hot dogs as well.

There should be zero voting precincts in the United States that it takes more than 2 hours to stand in line for voting. I have zero confidence in vote by mail. Will always have zero confidence in vote by mail. Liberals complain that the USPS is failing, but they love them for vote by mail. Which is it?

Lower tier leagues are still MLB, but I agree they are fun. We have an awesome park in Albuquerque (Rockies AAA team) but it still pales compared to a top level game.

Lots of Democratically owned businesses in Atlanta that will lose out as well. Politically this will hurt Biden with both Republicans and Democrats. It won't surprise me to see both Democrats and Republicans boycott MLB. Biden's going to learn his words hold a lot of weight. MSNBC which is usually the liberal mouthpiece holding Biden accountable for his words. I don't see this ending well for Biden and MLB. I'm a huge baseball fan but I won't be buying a season pass this year.

Yet there are more than zero. You can only keep adding in so many precincts, thus the more days needed to vote.

I think it is better than in person voting. When I vote in person and I put my ballot in the machine I have no idea if it were accepted or not. With mail in I did.

I cannot speak for liberals, but the USPS is failing because they are not allowed to set their own rates, Congress does it for them. I get all of my prescription drugs via the USPS including my son's insulin and have never had an issue.

Must have been back in the PCL days. I used to really follow Alb. when they were the Dodgers farm team but not so much now. I still enjoy taking the family out there but it's not much of a bargain (except for the ticket prices). The price of beer and food is comparable to a Rockies, Diamondbacks, or Padres game.

Yeah, PCL. Aces games are cheap too. They used to have Coors nights 50 cents a beer. I'm a smoker and having to leave the park to smoke is a pita.

No, she wont. You fail to understand this was just a shakedown gone wrong. Far-leftists have been going after companies in their own backyard for years and years, this time they just played it wrong and it ended up costing people instead of companies. They'll revert to the original formula and next time MLB will cut a check instead of cutting an event. Worked on the NBA, worked on the NFL, worked on the PGA, so don't expect them to let the MLB off the hook.

McConnell on MLB’s Georgia boycott: These woke corporations risk “serious consequences”

“Our private sector must stop taking cues from the Outrage-Industrial Complex.”

TIME TO MAKE IT HURT WHEN THESE LYING SLANDERERS ATTACK AND SMEAR PERFECTLY HONORABLE AMERICANS.

It's time to strip Major League Baseball’s antitrust exemption and raise their corporate taxes. They should get no special treatment that every other business doesn't also enjoy. There is nothing special about these lying slandering "woke" clowns smearing good Americans who are simply doing their job in a responsible manner.

Trump, hitting this from another angle, "is calling for a grassroots boycott of Major League Baseball by Republican voters. That’s the way to do this. It's long past time for righties to organize and throw their weight around as consumers. They’re woefully deficient about that relative to the left."

McConnell is standing up for Georgia, as well he should, these reforms are right, perfectly reasonable and long overdue:

Have you heard if mama Michelle is going to let us play in our own state this year? I really missed going to see the Mariachis last year.

We play Reno June 17-22 in Reno. You are in the Western division so that's the only time.

I haven't heard but it's a disgrace what she's doing to our collegiate athletes. I will not be voting for her.
