There is something I'm not understanding about the right wing Afghanistan narrative...

    I hope the same thing.

I spent 22 years planing military operations. Your experience?
Yeah, I did. Just not in sync with your expectations.

Kinzinger was then pressed on his response to fellow Republicans who are painting Afghan refugees as invaders, with undertones of racism.

Kinzinger said that the 16 House Republicans who voted against speeding up visas for Afghans trying to flee the Taliban should be asked about the reasons behind their vote, before taking aim at fear-mongering from fellow Republicans.

“But what you see is, in the media echo chamber, this fearmongering, right, this: They’re coming to your neighborhood, these hordes of people that haven’t been vetted,” Kinzinger said. “I mean, that is not American. You can always have questions with how this was executed, but America has always been the country that opens our heart.”

And yes, Kinzinger is an anti-Trump, but he still has a xenophobic Republican background.

What? While wars cost money, the huge majority of our debt doesn't have anything to do with wars. However, we do need to have the best national security in the world. Do you have a comment on the topic?

I didn't even vote for Trump in 2016. I don't particularly like Trump but I will defend him from the left's nonsense. If he has committed crimes then why isn't he in jail? The House impeached Trump twice with no evidence but accusations. Just because a partisan side wants to get Trump at all costs does not mean he committed any crimes.

When Trump cut taxes, tax revenues went up. The national debt did too because spending also went up. But, the fact is the tax cut DID increase tax revenues.

LOL. The rich people would rather not increase the prices on the goods and services they sell.

Wars is one thing, national security is another. We need to spend money on defense. You are trying to claim that wars and national defense are the same thing. Assuming that your 6.4 trillion dollar figure is just on wars and doesn't include national security, that's 6.4 trillion over 20 years while we owe about 30 trillion. But, I'm guessing that you are fudging the figures and including national security in that 6.4 trillion dollar figure.

You do not have to keep repeating the same nonsense. My memory span isn't that short.

Trump is a criminal. Like it or not. Absence of arrest or prosecution does not equate to innocence or not guilty.

It has. And it has been explained to them that anybody believing that the President of the United States would demoralize the Afghan troops by telling them the truth (that they sucked!) was as naïve as anybody who believed that the Taliban would not take over.

That is just your opinion. If he was guilty he would have been charged and convicted. Trumped up charges by the House don't count. In this country you are innocent until proven guilty. That is how our system works.

So you think you would have planned some military operation to get Americans to comply with the calls to get out, but you won't tell us what it is. Sounds like 22 years gone to waste.

We are divided nation in the worst way – not because we have different solutions to existing problems, we are divided because of LOVE.
Some of us LOVE Trump, everything what Trump did was good and lovely – betraying Kurds, fighting the coronavirus or signing Afghanistan agreement with Taliban.
And some of us LOVE Biden, we are happy to forgive Biden everything, even the messy withdrawal from Afghanistan.
We are happy to forgive Biden that the Afghanistan crisis he monitored from the Camp David and not from White House (the other side forgives President Trump to monitoring crises from the golf court), or that during Kabul mess Biden refused to answer to Boris Johnson.
In order to defend Biden some of us BELIEVE or wants us to believe that “There was no way to avoid a messy withdrawal”. What does it means? Biden is a genius, no one could do it better. And “he's the only one of the four who put the interest of his country before his own political aspirations”.
Biden is a genius! Stable genius! And great patriot too!

When they attack, we respond. Afghanistan is the worst case.

Wrong! Trump has been proven guilty. He needs to be proven guilty in a court of law for him to go to prison. But he has been proven guilty by the House, by the Mueller Report, by a Republican Senate committee, ... and by the admission of several accomplices.

Just a side note, since this has nothing to do with this topic.

I'm not fudging anything. I posted an article that speaks for itself. You wrote...... While wars cost money, the huge majority of our debt doesn't have anything to do with wars.
Claiming that DoD spending, which allows for the capacity to conduct a war, doesn't have anything to do with wars is disingenuous at best.

I know many people who love Trump to the point that they have formed a cult. I don't know anybody who "loves" Biden. Other than his wife and son, I guess.

The rest of your post is projection.

You said they pass along tax increases to lesser humans, so why would they care? Do you suppose you may have missed something?
