In the absence of any reason to delay the original evacuation date where no Taliban were present, and none is being offered, then moving that date another 4 months out to 9/11, it stinks of political posturing.

Somehow we could evacuate the Embassy and the troops with a midnight phone call when the Taliban is walking up the road but for 8 months prior, we couldn't evacuate anyone?

It seems that after so many years of dealing with Afghanistan that any competent Commander-in-Chief would know whether the Afghan troops would stand and fight or cut and run.

Additionally, Biden's refusal to let American troops rescue the thousands of stranded Americans and Afghans who helped the US is going to make many people think twice before they help the US in the future.

Finally, Biden is only worsening this crisis by hiding in his basement.

 

He did what a good Comander in Chief should do, he followed the best advice of his staff and experts. After 83 billion dollars of traing and equipment it wasn't unreasonable to expect more from the Afghan's.

President Biden's "refusal" to send troops out looking for American's is why no American has been killed during this process, even as bad as it's been.
