And I would not be surprised to see more officers speaking out especially in face of the comments being made by the White House.

Marine demands senior leaders accept 'accountability' for Afghanistan, gets removed from position
Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller was relieved for cause after demanding that senior U.S. leaders hold themselves accountable for actions made during the U.S. military's withdrawal from Afghanistan that led to the deaths of 13 service members....

..."I'm not saying we need to be in Afghanistan forever, but I am saying, did any of you throw your rank on the table and say, ‘Hey, it’s a bad idea to evacuate Bagram Airfield, a strategic airbase, before we evacuate everyone’? Did anyone do that? And when you didn’t think to do that, did anyone raise their hand and say, ‘We completely messed this up’?"

Will Biden hold them accountable, he's certainly not holding himself.

You know how you find a narcissist in a leadership position?

Call out their error and see how they react. If their reaction is to project their authority over the criticism, you found yourself a narcissist.

A whole lot of people need to get fired, from generals right on up to the President. This has been a complete, and basically willful failure of leadership at every level above battalion commander.

I think 10 U.S. Code § 888 - Art. 88. Contempt toward officials might be in play here in part
Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.

    (Aug. 10, 1956, ch. 1041, 70A Stat. 67; Pub. L. 96–513, title V, § 511(25), Dec. 12, 1980, 94 Stat. 2922; Pub. L. 107–296, title XVII, § 1704(b)(1), Nov. 25, 2002, 116 Stat. 2314; Pub. L. 109–163, div. A, title X, § 1057(a)(3), Jan. 6, 2006, 119 Stat. 3440.)

Since when can the subordinates of the US Army demand that their superiors be removed?

    You are mistaken.

Insubordination in the Army has been fully tolerated - and even encouraged - since January 20, 2020.

When it was 'bone spurs' Trump, it was a one-way to court-martial.

If we have reached the point where criticism of the top echelon= contemptuous, then we have also reached a point where high command will(and did) ignore intelligence from the ground up. Everything the Left complained about with Trump, Biden is worse at.

He's less accountable, he's less open and he's less transparent but hey, he doesn't tweet.

Since they became incompetent children. He knows he is done. Yeah, the UCMJ says you are ****ed if you speak out like that, but when things are this ****ed up at every level, I think it takes moral courage to say “to hell with the rules, this is wrong at every level”. He knows his career is over, and he thought it was worth it. I think he did the right thing, though I also think his career should end. Everything he said was true, and the public, and the leadership needed to hear it.

    Not really.

    In fact, not at all.

The first quality of a leader is to take decisions that are unpopular but that are beneficial to the country in the medium term.

Yesterday's attack is a tragedy, reminding us once again that the US must leave Afghanistan.

60 US soldiers have died during Trump's tenure, and not a single MAGA has shed a tear.

110,000 people have been evacuated so far, making it by far the largest air rescue operation in history.

Within two weeks, the Americans will have moved on.

This is funny. The FBI had agents not only criticizing Trump, but actively working against him and the left cheered them on, they even hired them to work for lib networks. How many got fired by the government?

If you want consistency then be consistent.

We reached that point in 1956 according to the statute. Why do you suddenly take issue with it?

I disagree with your assessment on cheato vs Biden, if I was a member of the brigade I would start screaming you have TDS for even bringing him up in a unrelated thread…

Why should the rules be different? What the FBI did was actually worse, a lot worse.

For the record, the people we’re talking, FBI and military, about shouldn’t criticize their superiors unless they’re whistle blowers.

Because they are not the same.
They are completely different branches of the government. One group investigates the other takes orders.

    So what?

    Big deal.

    Hindsight is 20/20.

This guy sounds like a Total IDIOT.
Glad to see The Corps take punitive action against this Loud-Mouthed Insubordinate Traitor.

Whining on Social Media shows this guy's weakness.
The Marines are better off without him.

I don't believe you've been present let alone responsible for a person who is dying.

Everything you can do, everything he can do, everything technologically possible.

    And its not enough.

You are free to "believe" whatever you want.

Bigfoot, Bat Boy, The Earth is Flat, Etc...
It means little to me, so rock on...:bored:

    Oh well...
    That's showbiz...

Anyway, the official Marine Corps statement spelled it out:

There is a forum in which Marine leaders can address their disagreements with the chain of command, but it’s not social media."
