I really don't want to go there in this thread, that's more for the political opinion section.

I asked first for your proof that his time off is having any negative repercussions. You’ve only responded with questions.

Would the same apply to a female who had given birth?

I do see your point, I just don't agree with it.

No. There are physical imperatives with females, not males. If he can’t do his job he should be replaced with someone that can.

So he can't do his job because he took parental leave? Legal parental leave?

Maternity leave is valid. Paternity leave is a farce.

In a way, this is symbolic of the entire Biden presidency.

It’s not genital recovery time. It’s paternity leave.

No, of course not, not because of that.

He can not do his job because he's a small-time major of an insignificant town with barely a regional airport and one bus station, trusted into a position in which he has no bidnes to be in.

He does not have "legal parental leave"

"In part, that’s because Cabinet secretaries are not eligible for the same paid family leave benefits that federal workers are. “Individuals in the executive branch who are appointed by the President to positions in the Executive Schedule are not covered by the leave system,” a spokesperson for the Office of Personnel Management said. “They do not earn leave and serve at the pleasure of the President. The President can choose to allow him to take time off.”

Asked if Biden approved the leave, a White House official didn’t directly answer....”

Okay - so we aren't paying for it. That should make you happy. And if Biden didn't approve it, surely he'd be unemployed at this time. In fact, Jen Psaki's tweet gives the impression that this leave is doing good things for the parental leave policy.

"proud to work in an Administration that is fighting to make paid leave a reality for everyone, and with people like @SecretaryPete who are role models on the importance of paid leave for new parents."

Yes. A brief medical leave then back to the position to which you were appointed else resign so the President can appoint someone who can give it their undivided attention ESPECIALLY when the area of that positions responsibility is in crisis.
