The Left Have Shot Themselves In The Foot

The left constantly clamored for gun control legislation for years and years. Then they wanted to defund the police and handcuff the police so that law enforcement could not do their jobs. Police were portrayed as the bad guys, not the criminals. Police quit in mass and recruiting became much harder, causing severe labor shortages in law enforcement. Statues and murals went put up honoring criminals as heroes. The left let people out of jails because of our high incarceration rates and social injustice. Now crime is skyrocketing in almost the entire country. So, guess what? In order to protect themselves from the onslaught of increased crime, public opinion has now swung away from gun control legislation into the public arming themselves. In effect, the left's very own policies have come back to haunt them so that instead of the public wanting gun control legislation, they want more guns to protect themselves! The left have literally shot themselves in the foot with their very own policies.

The more we arm the more that are shot and killed on a daily basis here in the GOOD OLD USA, a Perpetual war Zone!!!!!

 

And these killers appreciate Democrats providing them with unarmed victims. We wouldn't want the 98 pound female armed against the 225 pound rapist/killer, right?

 

An armed society is a polite society. If you walked into a store with the intention of robbing the place, and there were 20 other shoppers in there armed to the teeth, would you go ahead and rob that store? Probably not, unless you had a deathwish...

 

Depends on how badly I need whatever I'm robbing the place for.

 

And one less that got beaten by a mob.

 

Don't think this is a good example .. agree defund police has a little to do with increased crime/Employment but Gun Control has nothing to do with either .. nor does letting pot smokers out of Jail. .. and you miss the real causes .. the majority of which is bad law .. some of which came from the Pot war - along with a whole lot of crime.

Plenty of ways OL Joe and the Blue team shooting themselves in the foot .. just not what you mention ..sans defund - which wasn't really "Defund" to begin with .. least not totally as touted by many a little to desperate to demonize on partisan basis.

 

You keep complaining about this 'war zone' you apparently live in... why not live somewhere else? Most of the country is safe and peaceful.

 

So it makes sense for the robber to fire off the first shot as soon as he enters.. And then we have the armed customer who does not see who fired the first shot so shoots the first person he sees holding a gun. And all because the robber wanted a bottle of whisky

 

Shopping For suicide by others? That's what robbing a store full of well-armed people amounts to.

 

I did not know robbers are psychic now.

To the extent they were perhaps they could have predicted the bad choices that would lead them to that life path to begin with?

I mean not that that would exactly take a clairvoyant...

I have never heard a gun fired in anger in the US. I have been in a war zone and did hear guns fired in anger. We are not in a war zone.

 

I'm pretty sure the thousands of homicides that take place in These United States are not committed as acts of friendship and love.

 

I thought owning a gun was both a right and a choice. How did the Democrats do this?

 

The so called "bad law" you refer to is when you guys let out criminals and thugs for minor offenses and then they are free to commit their more major offenses. Unless, by bad law you mean letting everyone in and out of jail with a revolving door. Yes, that is bad law. Fact is, the left's policies have increased crime and the increased crime has led the average Joe and Jane to go out and buy guns to protect themselves instead of calling for gun control. Many of these people now realize that there are more criminals with guns than law abiding people. Now, you can argue that social problems have created more black criminals than their population percentage but the solution to that is in fixing the social problems, not in letting black criminals out of jail just because there is a disproportionate percentage of black criminals than the black population. Villainizing the police and creating statues and murals to criminals is not how you tackle the problem.

 

I wonder how many right wingers are going to arm themselves with a skate board now that the Rittenhouse jury just put it in the same class of defense as an AR15 semi automatic weapon???

 

I wonder if a person who has no gun has the same right to feel threatened by a gun and has a right to defend themself.

 

Well, that would make you a criminal, and given your actions, people might be justified in shooting your ass.

 

Not by the mere presence of a gun. If directly threatened by the person holding the gun, yes.

I don't like seeing innocent people die but I'm fine with criminals, gang members, etc shooting each other. If the police shoot a black criminal all hell breaks loose so let them all kill each other and then we don't have to worry about that. It's even better than if the police arrest these people and then the courts let them right back out. If all the criminals killed each other the rest of us can live in peace.
