There were many that did believe it. The Pillow Guy paid tens of thousands of dollars to have the video made and was so convinced it was true he offered five million dollars to anyone who could prove it wrong. Then backed out when the guy he hired to do the video said he had no proof. The law suit against him could cost him his business. You don't do things like that in what you know is fake. He got scammed good and convinced Trump it was true.

 

I think Trump learned his lessen of doing anything to help the Democrats. Spent almost three years fighting that Russian hoax. If I were him, I wouldn't give the Democrats the time of day.

 

What cause some people in a peaceful protest to get violent and able to enter the Capital either by breeching or freely entering?

Lack of security to control the crowd around the Capital.

 

Or, Trump telling them, "I will march with you."

Who did he tell to breech the Capital security and enter it illegally and quote him telling them specifically to do so.

 

Exactly…it is not “what caused 1/6”….it is why were a few hundred people allowed in the Capitol when the Capitol Police has a bigger budget than most big cities….. why even after forewarning, the appropriate force was not pre-assembled to control such an anticipated crowd … the records and communications of ALL the leadership should be looked at responsible for such derelict of duty on their part.

And the Jan 6 committee will not touch what happened internally, it is all about trying to find some crimes to charge Trump and his associates which is FAR outside their commission and the Constitution and previous court rulings.

 

No, they were peacefully marching to protest AT the Capital which happens routinely. It was when the security collapsed because a few got violent and were then able to take control of the perimeter and then breech the capital that it became a riot by some. Trump had nothing to do with that.

 

Never have US citizens violently attacked the US Capitol.

 

There have been riots and "insurrections" at the Capital throughout it's history. The fact is most of those who entered the Capital were not violent and merely walked through after the security opened the doors to them. Why do you think the Dem leadership has refused to release all the videos from the security cameras?

 

Have they released ANY of the security video? The side of the doors where Byrd shot Ashli would be a great way for people understand what happened but they play the silly hide and seek games I have come to expect from or House folks...

 

Never has the security been or should be so lacked , even after forewarning... 1/6 should have never been allowed to happen with such little security. The guards were offered but not deployed and the budget of the Capitol police is greater than most big cities... Doing a REAL investigation and looking at all communication in our leadership would get to the bottom of who was responsible for such a derelict of duty on the oversight part of the security of the Capitol that day.
