No. It says waaaay more than that.

And you clearly ignore it when you say something like this...

Practice that the Uvalde shooter did not have. So that would have been 19 kids and 2 adults (3 if we count the teacher's husband) who would be alive today and looking forward to starting their summer vacation this week.

If you actually HAD read it, you would have read the last sentence in the OP. So please try to read the posts you respond to in their entirety.

Okay, genius—you tell us.

P.S. What's your concern? There are several definitions, however none of them includes semi-automatic weapons.

Thats because their is no such thing. It was created by anti gun liberals who thought the AR-15 stood for assault rifle.

We would like to know what tools you would ban in your ideal world.

You do realize about 95% of the tools that you make guns with are common tools that you make other things with right? Probably not I doubt your research has taken you that far into the topic

The USA has a definition. It doesn't include the semi-automatic AR-15.

You want to defend your home? My choice? Mossberg 500 with buckshot.

    Over to you.

I use a Geforce Arms 12 gage which has a 5 round magazine and a 25 round drum magazine

A lot more deadly than any AR-15

I honestly don't know why anyone would go with anything other than a shotgun for home defense. Even if you can't handle the recoil of a 12 gauge, a 20 or even a 410 will do just fine.

Having a house full of kids, I would not risk using a shotgun in a home invasion. My preferred home defense weapon is a Glock 9mm with a strobe and laser.

We don't NEED any arguments, we've already won the war, first with Heller, who proclaimed once and for all that your nonsense arguments about being militia members no longer have any legs to stand on, if they ever did in the first place. It also restricts banning weapons that are "in common use for lawful reasons", and since one of the most popular rifles of all time is the hated AR-15 (hated by those who know nothing about weaponry), and 99.9999999% of the things they're used for is lawful, sort of rules them out from the ban lists. Most importantly, it ruled the 2A protected the right for individuals to own firearms in the first place.

And I expect sometime in the next few weeks, we'll have "Heller II", as the results of New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen are expected to give us the same right to protect ourselves in public (meaning none of this you have to be a friend of the mayor to get one of the coveted "may issue" permits, and everyone who wants one who meets the requirements will get one) as Heller decided the obvious about owning guns in private.

But you already know all of this, as I must have mentioned it several dozen times to you, as have others, so I don't get why you're fighting a war that is lost. You're like one of those old Japanese men on Pacific Islands who had to be convinced WWII was over, after living in caves and with no communication to the outside world in DECADES.

PS... My point about banning springs, aluminum, steel, plastic and other in sundry things is that while you MIGHT be able to get the kits you speak of banned (though I wouldn't hold my breath), that's all that is in them. Pieces of plastic for the rifle butt, pistol grip, and muzzle shroud, which is one place I WOULD trust today's 3d printers and plastic to be more than good enough for springs of various lengths, twists per in. (or mm), a steel tube for the muzzle, possibly chrome-lined and with the same twists available today, all that stuff will still be purchasable at Home Depot or similar stores, online, and off, and completely, 100% legal. Sorry.

Im allowed to be concerned with one part if your OP, especially when it undermines and discredits the rest of it. Did you come up with which tools you want to ban yet, or are you willing to finally admit you dont know F-all about metal fabrication or machining?

I have no idea what they're thinking because I don't talk to them about it. Why would I when they think an AR-15 is an assault rifle?

If you've done room clearing exercises the AR is a better platform.

Buckshot won't go through walls, but it nicely messes up bad guys.

Your statement was incorrect. Its fine that you know very little about firearms; just don't give advice. What do you have between your interior walls?

Sound proofing. Drywall is 1" of 6.5" of material. Do you have anything that says 6.5" isn't enough or are you speculating?

Sorry, soundproofing material is weaker than drywall. Your false statement is one of many misguided, dangerous, beliefs. If you live alone, it may be your best choice. For those of us with a house full of people, there are safer options.

Evidence, please. Rock wool, not fiberglass.
You don't have any evidence, do you?

I doubt that anyone with two brain cells lives in constant fear of objects. Guns should be respected. Fear is for sheep.
