Here is how Trump can become President... easily... in 2024: Go to Mitch McConnell, and DEMAND that a bi-partisan investigation be opened about January 6. And insist that HE be the first witness to appear, under oath, before that committee. But just declaring under oath that he had no intention to impede the official act, or to get all those armed people to march to the Capitol, this would prove that he is innocent, would expose the House Committee, and would leave Democrats looking foolish. Why? Because Trump might be considered a pathological liar. But I don't recall him ever being accused of lying under oath. Now, of course, for this to work, he would have to be innocent. But Trump supporters here have no doubt in their minds that he is innocent. So why would he not do this? It would ensure he wins the elections. And with control of the Supreme Court, they would certainly be able to overturn the 22nd Amendment, and get re-elected again and again for as long as he lives. And then choose who inherits the thr... I mean... the Presidency. Seriously! Can any Trump supporter explain to us why he wouldn't do this? He wouldn't even need to declare about anything else. ONLY about January 6. And once he's free of all charges, nobody would ever dare accuse him of any other crimes.... ever!
The major difference between this and the January 6th investigation is both sides will be cross examined.
Make Madame Pelosi testify under oath why she turned down Trump's offer of National Guard troops on Jan 6.
The American People's message to Trump Revenge Porn Democrats could not be more clear, and more completely ignored by Democrats: #SHUTUPANDFIXINFLATION! 2024: Trump 43, Biden 40 https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2024/president/us/general-election-trump-vs-biden-7383.html TRUMP IS THE MOST POPULAR POLITICAL LEADER https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/other/FavorabilityRatingsPoliticalLeaders.html
Yeah, but that's not going to have the political impact that Trump himself DEMANDING the investigation would have. Don't you think that would make him the sure winner in 2024... and beyond? I'm thinking it would give him complete control of Congress with a Romney-proof super-majority in the Senate like we've never seen. I'm assuming you think he's innocent. If not, then never mind.
So you agree with me that the House Investigation was unfair because of the lack of cross examination.
This thread is not about the House investigation. Answer the question! SHOULD Trump do this, yes or no? And if no, why not? This would DEFINITELY guarantee the Presidency for him in 2024
OK. I will reword it. It would most likely allow cross examinations which means the results are not predetermined like those in the very unfair house investigation where the results were known before the investigation even began.
He can't do that because he's not innocent. Secondly, Trump's standard operating procedure is to cross his arms and say "I can't recall" each time he's asked a question under penalty of perjury. For someone that "amazed" his doctors by recalling five nouns and labels himself a "stable genius", he certainly struggles with long-term memory issues quite often, especially when court stenographers are present.
I searched for evidence to support your assertion and didn't locate any. Please link to the transcript that supports your claim.
Mueller Report! You should have read it years ago. That's the most basic read to participate in any of the debates about Trump's criminal activity. If you strive to be considered informed, that is.
I understand why you won't respond: you don't think he's innocent. Next! Is there ANYBODY here who really believes he's innocent? I doubt it. Which is good. Don't get me wrong. It means the forum has a higher right-wing IQ level than is found among the general population. There are people out there who actually believe that he is.
No you don't! But if you do... what can I tell you. You should have taken the compliment in my previous post and stuck with it.
I don't see any major problems with Trump's answers. What specific question and answer are you referring to?
