    Are you not aware we had a President named Lincoln? You know, the guy Democrats hated more than they hate Trump. He had a pretty rough Presidency marked with lots of hatred, and real, not imagined, sedition.

    Read Federalist 68 (69 was a typo). tRaitor tRump checks off every reason the founders wanted the EC.

    Susinctly, they feared a global con-man of low morals and devoid of high qualifications might woo the populous and get elected.

    The only qualification he met was being born in the USA.

    Persons who think they know it all and are arrogant as all get out that they know everything and believe they can prove it to everyone else are very annoying.     You will actually find that it was the Democrats that achieved this. They started this before the election, during Trumps presidency, and they continue it today.
