You think the higher ups in the medic and FD don't know what the procedure is for a giving medical aid?
What they did wrong is that they didn't do what their job requires of them.
The 3 were fired and will face charges.

 

Spare me the lofty crap slogans. There is a vast difference between making mistakes in the heat of the moment and being an animal like those cops are.

 

They were punished for not acting in a timely manner. They needlessly delayed applying the first aid as required by their profession. They failed to perform their duty.

 

No, they were punished to appease the race hustlers. A day, or two before they were fired, Nichols' step father said he wanted them fired for "failing to save his [Nichols'] life". And, voila! They're fired.

The paramedics didn't just stand there for 20 minutes. That's a lie right off the bat.

Nichols was on his feet when the paramedics arrived.

When a patient is standing on his own, he isn't considered as emergent as a patient who can't stand, or is unconscious, or bleeding.

Not to mention, Nichols was in the hospital for 3 days before he died.

 

you must know what those standard are if they were not in line. So what are they?

First aid for what? Was he bleeding? Did he have an airway obstruction? Had his heart stopped?

Anyone else find it a bit odd that on the first encounter one of the officers went straight to the driver's door and opened it and then immediately leaned inside? What happened to normal procedure of shouting out something like "show me your hands"? It seems like that officer already knew that Tyer won't be carrying a gun or represent a threat.

Both cops had their guns drawn when they arrived at car and iirc: the tape/audio showed they just pulled Tyre Nichols out of his vehicle.
