Margot your post is correct, but to be somewhat redendant, I am on the side of sunnyside (no pun intended). Agreed the conspiracy to kill a diplomat opens the door to less diplomic methods, but we should not in any influence the direction. These are the times that try men's souls http://www.ushistory.org/paine/
Yes.. Iran has been problematic since the 1950s... but I think their propaganda war has been REAL squirrely since February.
this might not be a popular opinion, but war with Iran is inevitable. May as well get it over and done with........
That is not quite true, the isotopes of the nuclear material has a signature in the development process. Ref: http://www.physics.isu.edu/internships/reu_projects.html You must believe me, the world is magnitudes more afraid of the US than we are of them. Should that worst case scenario occur, the moderates and liberals would let their guard down, and the right wing would be alllowed carte blanche for the response. Exceptions aside, that is what happened after 9/11 with Afghanistan, and the world stood behind us.
Please...after the election though. Don't want another cluster (*)(*)(*)(*) like Libya on Obama's watch thank you.
In principle. However, especially without above ground nuclear testing, I wouldn't think we'd have the "fingerprints" for different countries potential nuclear weapons. And that wouldn't stop any of the usual suspects from claiming that zionists/Americans just doped their stuff to make it look like somebody else. Don't mistake Margot for a simple Anti-American/Islamist. She's more of a Saudi supporter. So I'd expect her to not be a fan of Iran, as Iran and Saudi Arabia are not fond of each other.
Obama is more war and destabilizing than Bush. Obama is a true war president even down to the Arab Spring they picked and chose the battles in. He also has the least respect of the US Constitution. Your filter on reality has you believing everything reported by the government as undeniable truth. My filter allows me to use logic and plausibility to process truth versus fictional propaganda. There has been a major shift since 2000 towards feeding Americans propaganda. It is a fact that Iraq had no weapons of mass distruction and our country built up the call for war based on baseless propaganda. It is a fact that we are battling the Taliban and not Al Qaeda in Ahfganistan. The Taliban are involved in a civil war and are not a true terrorist group. It is a fact that we overthrew Ghadaffi based on exaggerated propaganda. It is a fact that the adjusted mortgages were a group of mortgages set to have a short shelf life. They were built to grow to a point were they were unaffordable and the last home owner holding the deed would default before they paid off the home and would eventually damage the overall economy. I have a lot more facts but to state the questioning of US credibility is a bad thing, its actually the proper thing. The US wasn't built to be a war machine and my fellow Americans should be ashamed of themselves allowing our government as well as military and media to be hijacked by people not in the best interest in the American people. .
I am sure there would be complete denial, but the isotope evidence would be the same as DNA. Iran would recieve the identical response, even they know that. In addition, remember 9/11, it wasn't just US citizens that died in the World Trade Center, the same would exist in any major US city, Iran would inherent the rage of the world inlcuding China and Russia. This is not a simple scenario, the world is too interconnected to have any major incident to be mutually exclusive amongst nations.
We are now a war machine. Bush started us on this path and bama is expanding on it. Our USA is now an empire and nation builder.
We better stay away from Iran. At this point, sanctions are all I want to see. Just let the intelligence community do its job, and keep stopping these attempts. We certainly do not want another war.
Wrong, the smart is to confront Iran and the UN with the evidence. As a nation and world diplomacy, the US needs to make this a top world issue. BTW, I do agree with your last 2 sentences.
Trained with US weapons and funded with US drug money. The first car bomb was last year in July but the Mexican military is nothing like the US version. They don't leave their soil to fight and lack the intelligence operations seen in the US. They lack the war planes and ships used by the US and are behind the times as far as high tech weapons. They lack the need for prepping for use and building of bombs as they aren't a country seeking world wide influence. Canada has a better and more equipped military than Mexico. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mobileweb/2010/07/17/mexico-drug-war-sees-firs_n_650030.html
I did notice the source of the article - it's one of the fascist regime in Iran's propaganda bullhorns. I can't believe you're peddling their garbage...
I am not "peddling" anything.. this is just the Iranian side of the story. and here's another.. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/3e11bad6-f4d4-11e0-a286-00144feab49a.html?ftcamp=rss#axzz1aaTbCKrW While the claims of a plot have caused surprise and shock internationally, Mr Jubeirs views on Iran received wide coverage last year when US diplomatic cables released by WikiLeaks alleged he had lobbied Washington repeatedly for military action against Iran. He urged US officials to cut off the head of the snake and launch an attack against Iranian nuclear facilities, the cables claimed.
The fact that this was a Quds Force op indicates that the plot goes all the way to the top of the Iranian regime. I don't believe for a minute that this plot was a rogue operation...

No invasion of Iran. To do so would be suicide on a political level, a major strategic blunder and just incredibly stupid. If anything, it might clearing a pr path for Israel to hit a few targets.
