She turned in her own Republicans that were taking payoffs.

She made the oil companies open up a gas pipeline that the last two governors allowed the oil companies to sit on till gas prices got higher. She told them if they didn't finish it and start pumping gas, she would take away their leases on the land. They did it and Palin gave each Alaskan over $1,100.00 in state profit every year from that gas. The state took in billions from their share.

Show me proof of that. Show me where she ever had anything to do with the Alaskan Socialist Party. Her husband joind it when it came to their home town once and that was the only meeting he ever attended.

A morally deprived and intellectually limited group of citizens, collectively strove to ruin the character of Sarah Palin (with literally no ammo) for their political purposes, after honing their skills on GW Bush (with at least some ammo)

They won, and they are honing this particular skill further.

Party over country... and always has been with my observations of these types of citizenry (over my lifetime anyways).

Sarah Palin's renewable energy plan for Alaska, far exceded what Obama came out with for the country.
    Palin unveils state energy goals

2025 GOAL: At least 50 percent of state's power to be from alternative sources.

Gov. Sarah Palin has crossed swords with conservation groups over petroleum drilling, but she earned nothing but praise Friday after announcing the most ambitious renewable energy goals in the nation. At a news conference announcing her statewide energy plan, Palin called for 50 percent of Alaska's power to be generated by renewable resources by 2025.

Well, that means that she's either dumb as dirt for not realizing that quitting would not end the lawsuits or she quit for other reasons- such as wanting to make more money as a celebrity than as a public servant.
    She's like an older Kardashian.

Spock here. Logic suggest that she had to pay for her own defense lawyer to defend her in countless hours of depositions on multiple ethics lawsuits aimed at her. Also Palin had taken a big cut in her salary to save Alaska money in their budget. So that move right there proves that she wasn't 'all about the money'. Alaska law prevented the Alaska attorney general from defending her like all other state attorney generals do for their governors. Her staff was tied up in it and couldn't perform the daily functions of the Governors office due to the constant interruptions of having to do research into paperwork for the nuisance uncalled for ethics lawsuits. In the end they were all dismissed but the bill was at 700k and climbing almost forcing her and her family into personal bankruptcy. The logical solution was to step down and turn the states business over to Sean Parnell, the Lieutenant Governor so the office of the governor could have uninterrupted work done for the citizens of Alaska. When she made the decision to do that and after it was done, the lawsuits gradually stopped and Alaska closed up the loophole in state statutes so people couldn't file ethics lawsuits for anything and the new law now makes it manditory for the state attorney general to defend governors in lawsuits. Palin gracefully stepping down indeed was the best logical solution to end the crisis brought on by Obama operatives. She wasn't hurt politically as she showed everyone during the midterm elections when she campaigned for tea party candidates and helped them defeat incumbent democrats everywhere. Spock out.

I'm sure Palin helped in some way, but, my guess is that it's more or less due to the (*)(*)(*)(*)ty jobs the incumbents were doing...

Yeah, we call them right-wingers in this country.
They filled her simple mind with undeserved adulation and used her as a Hillary substitute, thinking that voters would be too stupid to know the difference.
Palin would have been much better off left alone in her little pond than being used by the cons.

They sued her for air fare for taking her kids with her on state business trips, totalling about $48,000.00. but, she spent less than $90,000.00 on air travel than the previous governor by flying coach and ordered all state personal to fly coach too. Saving the state thousands in air travel.

She sold the governor's plane, which also saved on maintence, fuel and hanger fees and having to pay a pilot.

Sarah is still beautiful, smart, articulate, a successful self made woman and still laughing as she goes to the bank. Thanks Libs! :woot::woot::woot:

They sued her for charging the state per idem fees when working at home, of about $17,000.00 when it was done by other state officials before her, which she believed she was entitled to. But because she worked more out of her home than the state capital, she dismissed the capital cook, saying she can cook her own meals. She gave back the state car and dismissed the chauffeur and drove herself in her own car. How much did those things save the state?

Governor Palin gave out her phone number over the air and asked kids to call her if they were contemplating dropping out of school.

In fact, they examined in detail over 23,000 emails from Sarah and found that she was honest, forward thinking, and wrote at the level of a CEO.

BFD, I certainly won't be shedding any tears. That is life in the big city, Gov Palin shot her mouth plenty of times, and many of her charges were completely unfounded, i.e., death panels.

It does seem quite clear that she was spot on with death panels. You better learn up on your Obamacare little fella.

    Palin for the win.

That isn't exactly how it was. She charged the State $312 a day for living in her own home and over $43,000 travel expenses for flying her children and Todd back and forth between Wasilla and Juneau. And after the big hoohah about selling the state plane on eBay, she sold it elsewhere at a $600,000 loss.

This is from the Anchorage Daily News, last updated in June of 2009 --

If I was a politician and had to pay money out of my own pocket to hire an attorney to defend me against ethics charges because I wore a St. Louis Cardinals baseball hat, I think I'd resign just like Sarah did!

    The Facts:
" As the mayor of the town of Wasilla from 1996 to 2002, Palin did cut property taxes repeatedly: The city's property tax rate was cut by three-quarters during her tenure and eliminated after she left office. But she also raised sales taxes by one-quarter - from 2 percent to 2.5 percent - to finance a $14.7 million sports complex that remains in the red."

"As governor, a job she won in 2006, she did suspend state fuel taxes. But she also raised taxes on oil companies and used some of the increased revenue - buoyed by higher market prices for crude - to increase the annual dividend each resident receives by $1,200."

Spock here again. Logically speaking, when I think of her stepping down, I find it reflective of Palin’s solid, normal character that she and her husband undertook to pay the legal expenses by working to earn the money. The alternative was defaulting on the legal bills, or finding wealthy individuals or political interests to sell her soul to. She didn’t go looking for a Soros-type patron. Todd went to the slope to slave in the oilfield in sub zero temperatures and she went to the book-writing and speaking circuit. It’s not political success, but it’s the way a good life is lived earned by a strong work ethic. I really respect that. Spock out.

You know, I look at the clowns masquerading as politicians routinely trotted out around this time and I sometimes wonder if it's really me who's crazy. Americans couldn't possibly so insane as to consider the likes of Santorum, for example, as a potential world leader. Could they?

Trooper Mike Wooten was the husband of Palin's sister. They were going through a divorce and Wooten threatened to kill Palin's father if he paid the lawyer for it. He was also found to have been caught drinking on the job and using a stun gun on his kid. Yes, Palin tried to get him fired. Those things would have gotten any police officer fired. But instead of firing him, Public Safety Commissioner Monaghan made him officer of the year and sent his picture up to Palin to sign it. Do you blame her for firing Monaghan? I sure as hell don't. That was just another law suit she had to fight.
