And in case you didn't want to click on the link:

An example of actual, proper usage would be "are you ready yet?" OR... **drumroll for Maury reference**

    "You are not the father!"

    Are=/= "To be".

I wasn't speaking about my intelligence relative to you in the past tense, I spoke about it(and now we can confirm) in the the present time :D

Allow me to highlight the critical words which should have given you a clue about the sentence's present tense.

In particular, pay attention to "separates", I did not use "separation" nor did I use the version without the 's'. I used "separates". Which means the separation in question is ongoing, during the moment or permanent.

It's my pleasure(though shame) that a Native Briton had trouble with past and present tense. Given the slight variation in American/Briton English, if you can show that you'd use "are" in that fashion in your homeland I might be able to forgive you. But there was no mistake in my American grammar.

Let's keep this in mind though, it's not really much of a surprise that this is happening. Europe is still very sensitive about Nazism, and fascism in general after WWII, and many countries have outlawed Nazi symbols like the swastika, even though the swastika is a tantric symbol to evoke shakti or the sacred symbol of auspiciousness in Indian religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism

Schickelgruber and little Bennie just stole the wealth of the people they didn't like and put everybody to work stealing the wealth of other countries. This is not a pattern for a viable civilization. It is just organized crime on a national scale.

Sorry, but if you consider Schickelgruber and his crazy Italian buddy to have been worth anything to humanity, your reasoning skills fall far short of an acceptable level.

Expansion had some but not all(or even close) to all of the economic moves they did, again, I find that a distortion on the German record and I beseech anyone actually SERIOUSLY interested to actually look into German economics in the '30s.

Let's outlay it: Austria voted for the merger in a peaceful transition, the allies despite Hitler's renegade relented on Czechslovakia. The war eastward didn't begin until 1939.

It is in other words, a smear campaign to say the German economic miracle is tied to the war effort. No, that's what WE did through Lend-Lease and through entering WW2. That was our method. Not Germany's.

Maybe 'not to humanity'(but then again, had England accepted German terms, instead of WW2 and nuclear bombs, we likely have an Eastern theater between the AXIS and USSR. As well as Japan to the Southeast Asian areas. I doubt the allies would seriously(especially if England accepted a potential alliance with Germany) fight for Stalin and his political persecution.) If Germany was sincere(and Ive no doubt) about their intentions of only taking back their territories, we could've saved a lot more lives and a lot less bloodshed.

And as far as what at least Germany accomplished:

Mostly we never talk about it.

What we do wonder about is when our Gov may stop plotting to murder people in their own lands, and when they will stop creating paedophile legislation, like Jack Straw did in 2009.

And we concern ourselves over employment, levels of immigration, cost of living, etc.

What we concern ourselves with, and what the media decide we are concerned with - two different things.

True, as much as we'd like to dig into history and discover an impartial truth away from the conceived notions of war(and thereby victory or defeat) the reality is that the past is the past. And what we'd like to focus on are true serious issues to our communities, our homes and our nations. I also agree that our national medias no longer fulfill their jobs and instead attempt to distract us from the worldly issues that face us all.

I just find it ironic that we have hand wringers who are not Greek, dismissing the entire Greek democratic process that brought the GD 18 seats, while at home, we have legislation that was passed by Jack Straw in 2009 that makes it illegal for children in state care to report sexual abuse.

Why are they not SEETHING about that?

Why is that not considered a 'criminal organisation'?

In a word: Apathy. Ironically, in comparison to the Germans who felt their government represented them, perhaps throughout our Western history, and "democratic European governments" have always felt the alienation between their government and the people. This alienation in turn, makes us believe there's nothing that can be done to avert what we otherwise would disagree with.

Protest? What does that do besides make us look foolish? Violence through the streets? Throughout history that has always emboldened dictatorships.
In order for a true representative government, the people must take active participation in said government but even more crucial: Said people must be competent.

That competence for the most part is sorely lacking and it has damaged our political systems.

Political issues in the struggle against the threat of fascism and dictatorship in Greece

    28 September 2013

The murder last week of hip-hop musician Pavlos Fyssas by fascist thugs has intensified class tensions in Greece. Thousands have taken to the streets on a daily basis to demonstrate against fascist terror and government attacks on social programs, jobs, wages and pensions. The police have responded with violence, attacking demonstrations and protecting the offices of the fascist Golden Dawn organization. There are open discussions in ruling circles of a possible military coup.

Fascism and dictatorship can be prevented only if the working class intervenes into the crisis as a politically independent force on the basis of a genuinely democratic and socialist program. Only on the basis of such a program can the working class mobilize behind it all of the oppressed layers of society. Such a movement cannot permit itself to be subordinated to the state or the bourgeois parties, which ever more aggressively attack the democratic rights and social interests of the workers. It must link the struggle against dictatorship with resistance to social attacks and be directed against the capitalist system itself.

It is necessary to form self-defense committees in neighborhoods and factories to protect workers and immigrants from the fascist gangs and their police accomplices, and prepare strike action.

Golden Dawn, which denies the Holocaust and employs a modified swastika as its symbol, has been deliberately built up by the ruling class. Forces within the state apparatus, the political establishment and big business set up the party to spearhead the fight against the working class. Funded by layers of the super-rich, the party has established paramilitary units, trained by the Army and supported by the police.

The same circles are now discussing plans to establish a military dictatorship. On Wednesday, the Federation of Greek Reservist elite soldiers (KEED) demanded a government of “national necessity” under the “guarantee” of the armed forces. The demands of this association largely coincide with those of the Golden Dawn, including calls for the expulsion of all immigrants and the seizure of German assets in Greece.

The aim of such dictatorial measures is to suppress the continuing resistance by workers to austerity. Class struggles in Greece are reaching the point where the ruling class can no longer impose social attacks by traditional means. To implement the latest dictates of the “troika”—the European Union, International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank—against workers’ opposition, the ruling elite increasingly relies on the army, police and fascist gangs.

Greece poses most starkly the question posed across Europe and internationally. Either the working class breaks politically from all sections of the bourgeoisie, intervenes independently in political life, expropriates the big banks and major corporations, and establishes a workers' government, or the ruling class will reduce society to barbarism. The crucial question is now the independent mobilization of the working class in political struggle.

Opposing this perspective are the various pseudo-left groups, such as the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) and the Communist Party (KKE). Together with the trade unions, they are sabotaging the struggles of workers and subordinating them to the state and the so-called “democratic” parties of the ruling class, chiefly the social democratic PASOK. By politically paralyzing the working class, they create favorable conditions for the most right-wing elements, using nationalist and pseudo-populist demagogy, to gain a hearing among desperate layers of the middle class and sections of the working class itself.

SYRIZA supports the European Union—the bankers’ conspiracy against the European working class—and presents itself as a force for “stability” in alliance with “democratic” forces in the ruling parties, including the right-wing New Democracy. It opposes any independent mobilization of the working class against the bourgeois parties and the system they defend. In this way, it lends its support to the brutal austerity measures directed against the working population.

It has responded to Fyssas’ murder and the subsequent mass protests by stepping up its efforts to present itself to the ruling elite as a reliable defender of the status quo, while seeking to politically disarm the working class in the face of ruling class preparations for dictatorship. At a recent meeting in Vienna, SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras declared that the armed forces and the police “are democratized and pose no threat to democracy.” A few days later, plans for a military coup and further evidence of the cooperation between Golden Dawn and the police came to light.

Calls for a state ban of Golden Dawn have essentially the same content. Such a ban would not weaken the fascists, but ultimately strengthen them. It would give the state apparatus, which is profoundly compromised by its relations with the neo-Nazis, greater powers to act against political organizations and against the working class.

SYRIZA’s main concern is to stabilize Greek capitalism and preserve its relations with the European Union. Tsipras recently called for an alliance against the fascists with the ruling New Democracy, which has innumerable links to Golden Dawn.

Similar policies are being advanced by the other pseudo-left organizations in Greece, which speak for the same privileged middle-class milieu and differ only on details. The Communist Party (KKE) seeks to stir up illusions that the trade unions can lead the fight against the fascists and calls for a “popular front”. The state capitalist SEK has joined the chorus of those demanding the banning of Golden Dawn.

All these groups speak for wealthy layers of the petty-bourgeoisie, such as the trade union bureaucracy, which fear an independent movement of workers far more than state repression and fascist terror. By sabotaging the struggles of workers and subordinating them to the state, however, they are paving the way for the rise of fascism.

The political mobilization of the working class against the threat of fascism and dictatorship requires a struggle to expose the reactionary role of the pseudo-left tendencies. This is essential for establishing the political independence of the working class from all sections of the bourgeoisie and developing the struggle for workers’ power and socialism.

Here's something of interest from a Greek language site. :confuse:

After the barrage of arrests of nationalist politicians, the head of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament Hannes Swoboda expressed "satisfaction with the action of the Greek police."

"I'm happy for the immediate reaction of the Greek authorities during the Golden Dawn and I hope to have a clear legal basis," he wrote on Twitter, the group president of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament.

Besides long ago Swoboda asked the Greek government to "consider the possibility of banning the Golden Dawn," adding that "the Greek Presidency of the European Union is unacceptable" if the government "does not stop the hateful behavior of the Golden Dawn."

How stupid! The wealthy class could care less about Golden Dawn, they have their own police protection, it's the poor who need them. They are the ones who are being killed for their social security checks, and they are the ones who need the extra food and medicine that Golden Dawn provides.

I wonder how many of those who protested against Golden Dawn were illegal subversives sent in by Albania and Turkey? Anyway what Greece needs is another staunchly conservative party without the symbolism used by Golden Dawn as well as the racism and extreme nationalist rhetoric. I just read that the followers of Golden Dawn are having a secret meeting to form another party.

well if anything, learning from the "original" nationalists would mean utilizing both a covert and overt extremism.
Unless of course you think the brownshirts were as covert as the burning of the reichstag.

Yes damage control about true essense of Nazionalism. good luck with that.

I fail to see how a nation state can be an "outlook" or a political philosophy unto itself. Perhaps you'd like to try to articulate you thought a little more clearly, if possible that is.

At least capitalism and democracy haven't yet completely failed the people like dictatorial communism did.
Are you too young to have had to line up for toilet paper, bread and vodka?
Or maybe perhaps you didn't notice that the walls of communism (built to keep people in) collapsed faster than a house of cards?

Na na na na,what?lets have a Look at the Progress of capitalism in the LAST 20 YEARS,Hows the GFC or global Financial Depression going?

War without end , surveillance of the entire population ,greatest gap between rich and poor in History and Austerity is not growth and development ,and any recovery any time soon? Anywhere?

Now as we know when speaking on a subject ,it is always good to do research ,and not rely on the Local religious nutter and what they say ,Communism 'Was", best to not listen to stupid god believers.

The USSR was Never Socialism let alone Communism .The USSR becoming Socialist was reliant upon the Nations of Western Europe at least having a Socialist Revolution and overthrowing Capitalism in an Advanced Nation.

What you refer to as Dictatorial Communism , is in fact Stalinism which like yourself said that socialism could be built in One country, and a backward feudal one at that. The Internationalist Communist Opposition formed by Leon Trotsky against Stalin and the Betrayal of the Revolution .Was and IS the Continuity of the Communist Tradition the most Democratic political Party on the Planet!

It appears you have drunk the koolaid. No matter. Communism is a failed political philosophy.

Maybe in a few hundred/thousand years when we have matured to the point where human altruism can resist the corruption of power and control it might actually be workable. Until then, communism won't work because people don't think or behave in a fashion that would make it work.

But keep trying to convince yourself that communism is democratic. I will say that it sure as hell would make choosing who to vote for easier for all those "low information" voters out there.

Golden Dawn and other extremist groups exist in Greece because the environment is ripe for such group to exist. It is the failings of previous government who have created this situation and the only way you are going to fix this is by improving the economy and fixing the many problems with the system that caused things to be this way. Arresting a few leaders or even banning a political party does nothing to solve the problems that caused extreme views to gain ground in the first place. The 12% or so who support Golden Dawn will still exist regardless of whether they have political representation or not.

What are the numbers? I ask because typically geniuses in school are either extremely studious or extremely lazy because the work is unchallenging to them. Either way your school would've had at least two IQ tests done on you to determine what your learning capability was.
