Yep Often there aren't two, there is only one.

Being shot by a cop is damned rare. Being shot unarmed by a cop is even rarer.

And? Because it’s rare police shouldn’t face consequences when it happens?

Again depends on the circumstances. The majority of times it is justified when it isn't the consequences ought to be at least manslaughter.

Why do young black males, specifically, all buy cellphones that look like handguns?

Near as I could tell, the guy was so compliant and non threatening that SWAT could have eaten a McDonalds breakfast on the hood of a cruiser and not missed anything important.

And you feverishly imagine it is that way with police? Why, because of TV shows?

Why should I trust an armed government bureaucrat whose primary job is to protect and serve the state and enforce the dictates of those who pay him - the political class? It's fascinating to me that conservatives hoot and howl when they hear the line "I"m from the government and I'm here to help", but as soon as that government agent puts on a blue uniform, they drop and prostrate themselves and lick the boots of that bureaucrat.

They are armed government bureaucrats and they command and demand the right to do things private citizens may not do. Therefore, they are agents of the state and not "us".

It sounds like you have a problem with authority, and think that you should be above the law.
