Is there any reason why we should believe anything Trump says?

We are not going to get that as long as Trump is President. Trump requested that his meeting with Putin be held in secret, no advisors. That is unprecedented and very dangerous. What did the President agree to? No one has any idea, not his DNI, not his SecState, not his SecDef, not his chief of staff, no one.

Why did he do that? There are a few reasons, but one of them is that he can put his own interpretation on the meeting and we are supposed to believe him. There is no possibility of other viewpoints of what was discussed, only his viewpoint.

The idea that Trump thinks Americans will accept that situation is, perhaps, most dangerous of all. He is being misled by his base. He honestly all Americans are as gullible as his base is. That is not good.

 

Trump is a Russian sympathizer. His base remains solidly in support of him. Trump can do no wrong.

Logically, it follows his base consists of Russian sympathizers as well.

OT: You should believe Trump! He is a genius! He tweets in the morning about (whatever will send the media into a frenzy) and then goes on about his business of winning. The left buys into it and it becomes an all day news story. I love it! Meeting with Putin showed Trump how low the media will go, for all to see, so what does Trump do? Invite Putin to D.C.
