There is no "we". There is the OP and a few far left socialists in a party now dwindling down to its core Kook element, vs an ever growing patriotic "us" encouraged by a President who presented the construct that "America is a Great Country, a Good Country".

It must be very irritating to the hard core Leftist Socialists of America to see their 8 year attempted coup d'état of USA get squashed so dramatically by an awakened American patriotic spirit reminiscent of the days of Teddy Roosevelt, and John F. Kennedy.

They now know the former spies had the poison at their own home in a bottle. I do not see how Putin got a bottle into their home and managed to get them to imbibe a bit of it. What is your explanation?
Why do you worry about Crimea and not Kosovo? A case where two areas where voters voted to abandon their country and change. Kosovo flat left but Crimea voters asked Russia to be allowed to come back home.

Trump no more slobbered than you are. Trump has a plan to work things out with Russia for world peace. Trump did call our country foolish but in context it makes sense.

As he explained later, after reading the transcript and/or seeing video, he explained that he meant "wouldn't" be. A simple human error.

Another crowd thriller, or so the naive Trump thinks. Trump is making a big splash about inviting Putin to another summit, this time at the White House. Trump makes himself the butt of jokes because he likes to be the center of attention. You can't get more ludicrous than making a big deal of a real dumb idea that will never happen.

No way is Putin going to accept. Putin has Trump over a barrel. Stupidly, Trump wanted a secret session with Putin. That was unbelievably ill-advised, meaning it was against the advice of Trump's advisors.

Knowing how the former KGB agent operates, I am reasonably certain Putin has a recording of their two hour private meeting. On the other hand, the Americans are in the dark. Our SecState, SecDef, Trump's NSA, Trump's DNI, and the Pentagon have no idea what took place in that meeting, and the White House is silent on the subject. But Putin knows.

Russia can put its own spin on what took place, and there is not a damn thing we can do about it. All this because of Trump's naive, brainless request with which Putin was happy to comply.

Republicans keep telling us we will find out sooner or later what took place. That is a remarkably imbecilic viewpoint. The translator will not tell us. That is not her job and a subpoena, forcing her to testify, would be setting a horrible precedent. That leaves Donald. Only Donald can tell us what he talked about.

Going back to June 2015 when Donald announced his candidacy, he has not been able to give us a straight story in three years. He is proud of his ability to lie. He calls it "truthful hyperbole," and it is a tactic he uses on a daily basis.

Yeah, sure, we will find out what Trump agreed to. It will be Trump's version of truthful hyperbole.

Why in the world would Putin throw away this advantage by accepting an invitation to Trump's house?

Once again, Trump thinks all Americans have the intellectual capacity of his fan base.

That ridiculous explanation overrides this statement he made. "My people came to me, Dan Coats came to me, some others, they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia. I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial."

Or this. "Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity and now, the Rigged Witch Hunt!"

Or this. Russia announced it was ready to pursue agreements reached by Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump "in the sphere of international security," though the White House and Pentagon would not confirm any agreements had been made or offer any details.

Trump and Putin met for about two hours during their summit in Helsinki with only translators present. It is still not clear what the two men discussed or agreed to during their meeting.

"The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is ready for practical implementation of the agreements reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in the sphere of international security achieved at the Helsinki summit," Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov, a Russian military spokesman, said in a statement Tuesday.

I'm sure it was a strong and powerful denial, and Trump didn't believe it. That's what he meant to say, but he made the "would be" / "wouldn't be" mistake. He admitted his mistake. You don't believe it because you don't want to believe it. If Hillary, or Obama, or any other president had made the same mistake and then admitted it and clarified what he/she meant to say, you would accept it.

He's right. Think Libya. Think Syria. Both are examples of U.S. foolishness.

It is not the place of the Pentagon to do that. If we enter into any formal agreements with the Russians having to do with "international security", those agreements will be out in the open.

So? Two powerful men can speak candidly and openly when it's done in private. I completely understand this. The U.S., by its nature, cannot implement an agreement or a policy in secret. If or when anything significant happens regarding Syria, North Korea, Ukraine, nuclear weapons, trade, etc, we'll know it, and these things will be fully vetted by Congress, the media, and public opinion.

Get over yourself, Sandy. You're obsessed with Trump. And your personal animus towards the man is overruling your logical brain.

Republican Senate nominee Corey Stewart (Va.) was interrupted by audience laughter during a debate on Saturday after saying President Trump “stands up” to Russia.

“We have a president who is standing up to the Russians,” Stewart said.

He was met by loud laughter from both the audience and his opponent.

Seth, you quoted me when I said, "That ridiculous explanation overrides this statement he made. "My people came to me, Dan Coats came to me, some others, they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia. I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial.'"

I don't believe changing "would" to "wouldn't" changes that statement one bit. It was a treasonous statement to make, and changing the sentence to an awkward double negative changes nothing. I am surprised you think it does.

A President who knows what he is doing and is loyal to his country, does not admit American foreign policy mistakes to a hostile foreign leader. That's assuming Libya and Syria were foreign policy mistakes.

Seth, once again you surprise me. Why do you support slamming our country in front of a communist dictator?

True to some extent. But Trump has not told anyone what was discussed. Not his SecState, not his SecDef, not his NSA, and not his DNI. There is no transcript of the meeting for the record. That is odd and unprecedented. What is Trump hiding? Why did he want a secret meeting with Putin? Aren't you the least bit curious?

I am not criticizing Trump because he hasn't told the American people what the meeting is about. He is, after all, the secret President. I am criticizing him for telling no one. Putin knows what was said. That puts our country at a disadvantage.

Once again, you surprise me, Seth. This doesn't bother you.

Trump's "vagueness" might just be a method to get the media to create their propaganda and lies, while dem voters believe every word of it. The rest of us republicans and independents will vote more dems out of office in upcoming elections.

Here's an example. Alexandria and Sanders were in KANSAS a few days ago and said, "they are going to flip this state/seat RED!" This is a new level of CLUELESS.

Oh lord knows how you worship Obama. But Trump took real action. I never saw so many workers wanted signs in this area during Obama. Fact is, not even Walmart had to advertise for new workers. Trump blew the lid off. Signs are on so many stores they must actually compete for workers. So thank you Donald Trump. A job is the most important thing to citizens.

But reality clearly shows this to be bullshit. The economy has been on the same upward swing for 9 years. Trump has simply managed to not **** up what Obama handed him.

reality once again shows your statement to be bullshit. Trump has done nothing at all for the economy. he has been riding the Obama wave since his first day in office. The economy is no different today, than it was 3 years ago.

Is there any reason why we should believe anything Trump says?

Of course not. I always recommend that people should ignore what politicians say and pay attention to what they do.

I agree. In Trump's case that would be leaving the TPP he now wants to rejoin, removing the U.S. as broker for Middle East peace because of his unilateral decision regarding Jerusalem, removing the U.S. from the Paris Accord which is attempting to control global warming, placing steep steel and aluminum tariffs on our friends and trading partners, weakening NATO and the G-7, and removing the U.S. from an agreement that permanently banned Iran from making a nuke.

Yes, Trump should be judged on what he does, not what he says.

Although I can tell you are thoroughly embarrassed by what Trump said a week ago while facing Putin. Trump was scared of the communist dictator and it showed. It is embarrassing to be a Trump supporter these days.

North Korea has the hydrogen bomb. North Korea has ICBM's. North Korea has successfully miniaturized the bomb to fit atop the ICBM which can reach Washington.

Here is what Trump has said about North Korea. Trump promised Kim, "He will be safe, he will be happy, his country will be rich, his country will be hardworking and very prosperous."

Iran does not have a nuclear weapon. Iran does not have ICBM's.

Here is what Trump had to say about Iran. “Never, ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before. We are no longer a country that will stand for your demented words of violence & death. Be cautious!”

Why Did Trump make a complete fool of himself with such an empty threat? There was an agreement in place which permanently banned Iran from making a nuke. Because that agreement was completed during the Obama administration, Trump withdrew the U.S. from the agreement, throwing it in disarray. Without the agreement, all Trump can do is issue meaningless threats because, following the American example, Iran can withdraw from the agreement and begin developing a nuke if she so chooses.

It can be argued that Trump is encouraging the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Look at the treatment he gave North Korea. Look at the treatment he gave Iran. Obviously, it is to a country's advantage to have a nuke.

On the face of it, Trump really is very funny.

At the news conference on Monday Trump said, "My people came to me, Dan Coats came to me, some others, they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia. I will say this, I don't see any reason why it would be. I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial."

On Tuesday he said, “I have full faith in America’s intelligence agencies. [God intervened. That is when the lights went out.] I have felt very strongly that while Russia’s actions had no impact at all on the outcome of the election, let me be totally clear, and I’ve said this many times, I accept our intelligence community’s conclusion [That is a lie.] that Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election took place, could be other people also. There was no collusion at all.”

Also, on Tuesday, “I said the word ‘would’ instead of ‘wouldn’t. The sentence should have been, ‘I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be’” Russia." The resulting double negative is awkward, senseless, and still another lie. Trump said what he said on Monday and meant every word of it.

On Wednesday Trump said he holds his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin personally responsible for Moscow's attempts to interfere in the 2016 US election. In an interview with CBS News anchor Jeff Glor, Trump said Putin was culpable as Russia's leader. "I would because he’s in charge of the country just like I consider myself to be responsible for things that happen in this country," Trump said. "So certainly as the leader of the country you would have to hold him responsible."

On Thursday, speaking to a reporter from CNBC Trump said if things don't work out with Putin, "I'll be the worst enemy he's ever had."

"I'll be his worst nightmare, but I don't think it'll be that way. I actually think we'll have a good relationship."

Trump then took the weekend off ... again, and went golfing, giving us all a much needed rest.

Trump tweeted late Sunday, "So President Obama knew about Russia before the Election. Why didn't he do something about it? [Obama did, Trump lied] Why didn't he tell our campaign? [Obama did, Trump lied] Because it is all a big hoax, that's why, and he thought Crooked Hillary was going to win!!!" So, now it is a hoax again. I told you Trump was funny sometimes.

Today, Trump tweeted, "So we now find out that it was indeed the unverified and Fake Dirty Dossier, that was paid for by Crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC, that was knowingly & falsely submitted to FISA and which was responsible for starting the totally conflicted and discredited Mueller Witch Hunt!"

The whole tweet is a lie meant solely for his gullible base because they are the only ones who will believe. The Steele Dossier which Trump misrepresents certainly was not the basis of Mueller's investigation. The point is we are back to the beginning. Mueller's investigation is a witch hunt.

We have come full circle. That is basically what he said a week ago in that fatal news conference he tried to cover up. "My people came to me, Dan Coats came to me, some others, they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia. I will say this, I don't see any reason why it would be. I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial."

The man is begging to be impeached.

The thing that gets to me is that without any of the the above crimes at all we STILL have more than enough to impeach the man and then incarcerate him for several years. The Nepotism, the Emoluments, the continued, blatant and egregious corruption any one of which would be more than enough to unseat the mayor of a small city let alone the POTUS, yet he continues in office. IMO the entire Republican party has become complicit in Trump's ongoing monstrous crimes and in November we MUST hold them to account. Show these fawning lickspittle sycophants who disgrace not only the offices they hold but even their own dignity as human beings that they they cannot continue to help this treasonous criminal flout the laws of our country and undermine its interests. Vote against any and all Republicans. THROW THE BASTARDS OUT
