I'm being floored here, I though Germany had reformed from it's 20th century history and now I see it wanting to align itself with a country such as Iran and now Russia apparently in a move to start opposing the free west. Is it the 1930's all over again?

I think Boeing may be our largest single exporter and they've apparently endangered that with a tragic strategic product development error. "Finance" replaced American corporatism, with "shareholder value" and assorted tax policies. We may still be the "go to" place in terms of a global safe haven, but I expect that to fade as well. Believe I'd contribute it to too much individualism and individual greed. We should have rebuilt our own infrastructure (including health care and education) back in the seventies. Reaganomics might have worked in the past, in a national economy, but not in the new global economy. But, of course, that's just my opinion.
