    NFL to play Black national anthem at all league games in 2021


    The NFL will play the Black national anthem before all games during the 2021 season, including the Sept. 9 kickoff game and the playoffs. as part of a 10-year, $250 million commitment to fighting racism in America, reports say.

    How long till other races and groups demand their anthem sung.

    The idea of a "black national anthem" is divisive and racist.

    How does playing the black National Anthem at games help to fight racism?

    I'm not opposed to the idea. I'm just concerned it might turn out like it did when MLK, Jr.'s birthday was established as a holiday. That was NOT A GOOD TIME AT ALL.

    I didn't know there was a black national anthem. Now I've heard it, and I gotta say, its pretty bland. This nation was born in a war that we shouldn't have won, and it should be in our anthem. This one sounds like puppies and lollipops to me. I'm not saying we have to keep the old one... but this one will not do.

    How does a race scattered out world wide have a ‘national’ anthem?

    Pandering to one race is not going to sit well, especially since the left says all white people are racists. Yes, they said ALL white people.

    If people tune into football strictly for any anthem to be played and are offended, that is their problem. I myself tune into sports to watch them play the game. I couldn't care less how anyone feels about any anthem.

    Now if the players stop playing the game, then I will have a problem.

    Do you normally support things that pander to specific people? Now that they’ve said theyre going to do this they can never stop or it will be free tv season again.

    Why should I care? Again, I tune into sports for the 3 plus hours of them playing the game. I don't tune in or go to live games to listen to some local person butcher the anthem for 3 minutes and stop watching the game.

    You should care because injecting politics and social issues is killing sports. The NBA has seen a huge drop in ratings and I heard the MLB all star game also tanked. Putting anti American athletes and men in women’s Olympics will probably turn off a lot of people too.

    I have always preferred college football to the NFL. The NFL has been relatively boring for the past two decades.
    A few years ago I came back to the NFL only because my kids played Fantasy Football and I enjoyed the interaction with them.

    And then they became frickin' appalled at the bull crap that the BLM junkies have been pushing, so all ten of us decided to drop ESPN and simply not bother to tune in anymore.

    Didn't miss it for a minute. My wife was amazed that I had no clue as to which teams even made the playoffs.

    I did watch about 45 minutes of the Superbowl which accounted for 100% of my interest in the NFL last year.

    And with this new revelation, I won't bother to follow the NFL this year either.

    I haven’t watched a football game since the kneeling started and don’t miss it one bit, especially now that the players are acting like animals again and getting arrested.

    Now spend my Sundays photoshopping old photos back to life.

    Here I disagree. WTF do I care what is played before a game? As long as kick off is on time I could care less.

    The people I restore photos for are very happy. There is no sense of productivity or value uselessly sitting on a couch for ten hours watching millionaires who don’t give a crap about you when the time can be spent productively. There are many people out there who are very, very happy that I restored their old and torn pictures and never asked for a penny in return.

    I was just getting excited to be able to watch NFL football again and then this...No, I take a knee in opposition to any other National Anthem but the Stars Spangled Banner. We have only one national anthem. The NFL will suffer mightily again. I thought they learned their lesson with the kneeling crap. Guess not.
