These border ranchers are just trying to make the Obama look bad right?

They apparently are "wildly exaggerating"... the fact that they have lived there most of their lives means nothing......

I'm sure the Obama is on top of the situation........

I watched a documentary about a guy who retired out to a border property in Arizona and they literally mortared his house and destroyed it so now he lives in a fortified trailer on the highest point on the property and patrols it ruthlessly with a lever action .30-30 and hires a merc group to patrol it regularly as well.

Its not just the narcos either, the Mexican Military is liable to cross over and bother you too.

It was quite a few yrs ago there was a case of an AZ rancher who had illegal trespassers from Honduras(?) - don't remember all the details now, but they sued the rancher, it went to court and they got his ranch....

Another case some yrs back, another AZ rancher stopped a bunch of illegals on his property. They took him to court and he lost - had to pay them a lot of $.......

Then, of course, there were the 2 BP agents who went to prison b/c they stopped an illegal coming across w/drugs, chased him down and one agent shot him in the ass. The illegal lived, received free medical, testified against them and they were convicted....

There are dozens of stories about this type of thing that just makes me LIVID!

And Obama, Holder & Napalitano could care less..... man, I despise those people.........

A Govt. that refuses to defend its citizens has no reason to exist.

I'm thinking that's the exact reason we need to be allowed to have 30+ round clips... You got to figure moving targets, plus or minus two or more rounds, and its night time, plus or minus a round or two, so six targets, yeah, we need 30 round clips... If you don't get it, oh well...

(*)(*)(*)(*), missed that seventh target, I'd push for 40+ round clips at that point...

Well BINGO, Al! My sentiments EXACTLY! I can't believe the (*)(*)(*)(*) that's happening to legit American citizens! American juries giving the illegal aliens his ranch, another having to pay them a ton of $ b/c he caught them on HIS property......... BP agents sent to prison for chasing down a drug dealer illegal criminal ..... it's just sickening!

And Bush didn't do anything about the open borders either....

Yeah. Bush's inaction on the border is one of the reasons I lost faith in him.

The federal govt. wants ranchers to allow illegals to cross their property without interference. People near the border can't leave their homes without having them burglarized. I think the federal govt. has become a bigger problem than the illegals.

I would immediately return to "my" ranch, get my stuff, burn the place to the ground and salt/poison the soil as best I could before handing it over to the mexicans and if it meant jailtime so be it.

Ammo is way cheaper than salt when you figure in the actual cost of tilling the land with it, and really come on here, if that's the case you HAVE to use American workers, so that cost will be high as well. Nah, stick with ammo and use it well, and often....

I know.... I've seen pix of the border states where the land was clean and well kept up by the people living in the area compared to what it looks like now - garbage, debris, crap littered all over, left by the illegals.......

After 9/11, I really tho't Bush would secure the border. Nope! He never did. He left it as wide open as Obama is doing now..... so much for keeping the oath that both took in protecting this country.......

Right! I think a lot of homeowners - or used to be homeowners - would do that.....

May 27, 2010 – Bush sent some 6000 troops in 2006. ... Another big difference: the Guard then helped build the 700 miles of border fence and vehicle barriers ...

Wow. I have heard similar stories. Some retirement huh?

The worst story I heard was an old rancher 70 something years old who encountered a dozen illegals on his ranch while checking his cattle...he had his sidearm on him and he pointed his pistol on them and commanded them to sit while he radioed his wife to call border patrol on the walkie talkie.........he is now facing a lawsuit and they are threatening to take his property away.

As I said in the OP this is a betrayal of American citizens by the Obama and his administration.

So why not close our military bases in Europe and put about half those people on the Mexican border?

Too right........of course according to this particular Govt., the border "is safer than ever and that reports of violence on the American side are wildly exaggerated"

I'm sure those ranchers will feel better knowing they have exaggerated their problems.

Separate issues and not mutually dependent.

There is no reason we cannot secure our border. This administration however, has demonstrated in dozens of actions that it has little interest in doing so. From lawsuits of states attempting to do what the Fed will not, to incarcerating border patrol agents, to lawsuits of American citizens protecting their property on the border.

It is a betrayal of American citizens.

All you have to do is PAY for securing the border..

We'll also have troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan.

We can cut defense spending and secure the border.

I can't recall any US president that was willing to seal the border, can you?

You know, I just watched a documentary about this guy who bought a goose.
Turns out this goose started laying golden eggs so the guy has hidden all the eggs so far and become a conservative. Never figured that. I believe it was on Fox News.

Sure it's not a lethal electric fence, but it seems the Obama administration has done more to curb illegal immigration than some suggest, and anyone else in the last 10 years.

Hmm. I see a rise in deportations every year regardless of who is in office. Hard to pin the credit on any one single president.
