Why are Conservatives Happier than Liberals?

Liberals have a tougher time rationalizing social and economic inequality then do Conservatives.

Pew Study suggested income, religion and ideology all played a role in shaping the happiness divide.

Well, that seems to make sense. Conservatives having a greater work ethic than liberals is shown in the disparity of their income level when compared to that of libs. Most libs are atheists or spend an inordinate amount of time bashing Christianity whenever they feel angry enough to go viral with their unhappiness--not sure whether Satan has anything to do with that. And a liberal ideology that favors a totalitarian state gives the individual nothing much to be proud of, to be confident about and or to have a sense of accomplishment when the state basically controls their entire entitlement style life.

Its also been established here that Conservatives overwhelmingly give to charities as compared to their stingy liberal counterparts, which in the long run has proven to make the giving Conservative individual that much more happier than the liberal miser.

Both sides of the extremist gene pool, seem awfully pathetic at times, angry whenever they don‘t get their way, and unhappy most of the time from the hatred they display towards others who do not fall into lockstep with their way of thinking.

For such a supposedly happy guy, libhater certainly comes across as cranky and bitter.

But then, maybe times have changed. Maybe happy people do spend all day on a message board obsessively typing messages about how much they hate a certain group.

 

I don't know. Let's analyze their genomes and find out if conservatives have a higher frequency of a certain "happiness gene". *shrug*

 

It ain't in the genes, it's in the jeans. In the jeans of conservative women.

And let's face it, conservative women will have nothing to do with progressive men.

There are also most likely environmental factors at play. Urban life is miserable for example. Ever met anyone from NY city that was happy?

 

Conservatives believe in everlasting life, liberals in everlasting death.

 

Until they find out about the oral sex divide.

 

Libhater misses the rather obvious explanation -- that conservatives aren't any more or less happy than liberals. They just _say_ they're happier.

They're not lying. They probably actually believe it. Conservative political correctness declares that Christianity _must_ make someone happier. Therefore, they are under intense psychological pressure to conform to that political correctness, and to declare that they really are superduperhappy, no matter how miserable they are. There is no similar pressure on the liberal side. Liberals are only pressured to be realistic.

Oh, the "conservatives give more to charity" thing is debunked, by the way.

 

As long as you guys keep wearing women's jeans and driving your priuses, I'm not worried.

Wow, blatant envy, greed and the desire to steal what others have earned - the entire liberal redistributionist agenda and mindset squeezed into one poorly capitalized and punctuated sentence.

See a while back I bought myself two nice new pairs of Levis 505s. I didn't use the dressing room or anything, pretty sure my beer gut was still there and not expanding. So anyway I got home, got them on, and thought 'my god I've lost weight, I need a belt.' Well I go out and get a belt, and these pants still just don't want to stay on. They keep falling down too low, I keep having to pull them back up, I mean these things are shoving my boxers out the top, that's how bad it is. Being my normal self though I just drive on, thinking the next pair of jeans I get will be smaller.

Well come to find out a few months later my friend is having the same problem. He looks it up. Turns out Levis turned their 505s into lowcut (womens) jeans! No longer are they simply pants, they're now girl pants sold to men. 505s. Girl pants. I mean you'd think they would pick a different number but no, they switched up the 'classic' jeans to keep the 'classic' numbers. I was pissed.

So now we come to today. After a disappointing trip to the Danners store where I found out the shoes I wanted are so formless they suck (look like giant Crocs without holes), I went to another store to go get some new jeans. See my buddy had discovered that what used to be the Levi 505 is now a 517. Oh the horror. There was an ass ton of 505s and 501s (501s, rumor has it, has also been made into girl jeans, making them skin tight lowcut jeans for guys... yeah...). I also found some numbers I didn't even know existed like 560 and 550, probably a 545 in there too, but not a single 517. Also their shoes all sucked. So now I have to go on my date tomorrow in these god (*)(*)(*)(*) old girl jeans with my old boots. At least my boots look good.

Spoken like a truly miserable person. Cheer up, dude. Has it ever occurred to you that if you're not happy on your side, maybe we might know a little something that you don't? Something you might benefit from if you gave it a chance?
