Hilarious. COMPLETE LIES ABOUT THE FACTS are now "correcting the record" in Leftworld:

    Margot2 said:
No yellowcake has been exported from the US.

Russia doesn't have control over 20% of US uranium.

    The ACTUAL FACTS:

Once again, for the UMPTEENTH TIME:

Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal

Beyond mines in Kazakhstan that are among the most lucrative in the world, the sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States. Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee composed of representatives from a number of United States government agencies. Among the agencies that eventually signed off was the State Department, then headed by Mr. Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.

Uranium One deal led to some exports to Europe, memos show

After the Obama administration approved the sale of a Canadian mining company with significant U.S. uranium reserves to a firm owned by Russia’s government, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission assured Congress and the public the new owners couldn’t export any raw nuclear fuel from America’s shores.

No uranium produced at either facility may be exported,” the NRC declared in a November 2010 press release that announced that ARMZ, a subsidiary of the Russian state-owned Rosatom, had been approved to take ownership of the Uranium One mining firm and its American assets.

The NRC never issued an export license to the Russian firm, a fact so engrained in the narrative of the Uranium One controversy that it showed up in The Washington Post’s official fact-checker site this week. “We have noted repeatedly that extracted uranium could not be exported by Russia without a license, which Rosatom does not have,” the Post reported on Monday, linking to the 2011 Barrasso letter.

Yet NRC memos reviewed by The Hill show that it did approve the shipment of yellowcake uranium — the raw material used to make nuclear fuel and weapons — from the Russian-owned mines in the United States to Canada in 2012 through a third party. Later, the Obama administration approved some of that uranium going all the way to Europe, government documents show.

When Germany, England, France and the rest of Europe does not contribute their SWORN DUTY to pay into NATO, it abrogates the treaty.

I didn't hit a pay wall ... but the gist is that Putin is creating a shortage in the US to inflate the cost and demand for importing uranium produced in Khazakistan. If you recall Bill Clinton travelled to Khazakistan on Giustra's private jet to finalize the Uranium 1 deal.

There has been a moratorium on Uranium mining in the US for decades.. Had NOTHING to do with Clinton. Our uranium production in the US supplies about 6% of our needs.

Yeah.. Guistra wouldn't sell them the Khazakistan mines unless they took the US mines in the deal.

I'm considered to be very smart. How about you?

The point is, Hurd hates Trump, he's a border town politician who plays to his audience. Don't care that he has an issue with the President. His views don't matter, although he has every right to offer them.

My point is it's really lame to suggest the guy represents any kind of chilling message to Republicans. That's just a dog whistle designed for a trained audience.

As long as we don't fight with Australia and Canada there won't be any shortage.

For there to be treason there has to be a war.

The Second World War was a declared war.

Did President Franklin D. Roosevelt commit treason when he met with Joseph Stalin in Yalta and gave Stalin all if eastern Europe ?

Probably why Trump is investigating US uranium dependency. Japan has an over abundance of enriched uranium that it has little use for. I think the US military should look to our allies, and I bet Trump does too.

If we're all still alive, not speaking Russian, and not vaporized after this, then I promise you'll be ok. You can still wear Pull-Ups to bed if you need to though, and sleep with the closet light on.

And this is the best you can do in response, attack me?

The irony is monumental in your post.

What do you know about Hurd? How many times did he run for office? What area of Texas does he represent? What have his views of the President been since Trump was running for office?

So, speaking of pathetic, you just rang the bell.

Doubling down on stupid. I think we can safely disregard EVERYTHING you have to say. There's no need to engage your arguments (assuming you ever make one) because you are NOTHING but a trump lover. This place would get pretty boring by your reasoning.

You are wrong.. We IMPORT most of the uranium we use from Canada and Russia.

Where Our Uranium Comes From - eia.gov

The United States imports most of the uranium it uses as fuel. Owners and operators of U.S. nuclear power reactors purchased the equivalent of 50.6 million pounds of uranium in 2016.

Sources and shares of purchases of uranium produced in foreign countries in 2016:

    • Canada–25%
    • Kazakhstan–24%
    • Australia–20%
    • Russia–14%
    • Uzbekistan–4%
    • Malawi, Namibia, Niger, and South Africa–10%
    • Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Germany, and Ukraine–2%

Funny thing is, that's what a 10 year old does when he's mad and can't think of a comeback. He runs to his room and shuts the door so nobody can tell him he's wrong.
