    Yes. We have lost what can be called "Paradise". Of course, in comparison with life in the US or the EU at that time.
    Free medicine, free education, free housing, practically free utilities. The complete absence of unemployment, low crime, freedom of expression in all areas of activity .... and so on. Doesn't it look like paradise?

    If Roosevelt had sold sovereignty to the Japanese after Pearl Harbor, would you also call him a good guy on the grounds that he stopped the war?

    I'd rather be slowly boiled alive in a vat of oil than be a Progressive, but it's pretty clear he just respectfully disagreed with those praising Bush. No vile attack at all.

    Have you been to the USSR? I have been to the USA several times. Last time I was in the USA in 2016. Therefore, I can compare both political and economic systems. But you were in the USSR?

    No worries. I know you're being sarcastic but that "yarn" didn't even scratch the surface. Lot's more interesting stuff where that came from on the history of the Bush family.

    If for instance Japan won the war and the US accepted terms that made Japanese courts superior to US courts, and required royal assent for all bills from the Emperor. That would make the US a vassal state in effect.
