You just made some grossly overstated blanket statements on borderline sociopathic. They don't deserve any respect from me or anyone else.

Currently, some states' immigration laws don't deport people here without official approval. They throw them in jail, which feeds the private prison systems and costs us more than what they might get from any kind of scams from welfare. Instead of costing $8-10k a head per person, they cost $50k instead.

However, there's no true direct path to become a citizen. They're all treated by societal standards as subhumans undeserving of citizenship when they tend to hold the jobs that pay the least and require the most amount of physicality. It's retarded. Hardly anyone else is wanting to do those jobs and they need to get done. Let 'em in, legalize them, tax them. Revenue is made and you wipe your hands clean because they're not 'illegal' anymore.

It's the conservative version of welfare.

There's no reason that citizenship has to be open to them. That can be a privilege that is harder to earn, and there's no reason that peaceful immigrants should be treated as they are now. In many cases, they will come here, earn a certain amount and then return home for a time or to retire. It's win win.

'States' don't have deportation laws........that is the purview of the federal government

Either way, it's happening, and it's costing.
