Interesting that the reasoning is the only thing sparking such indignation. If a child would have shown disrespect or what was perceived as disrespectful behavior, towards a visitor in a Catholic school, how do you suppose the child would have been dealt with. A penguin with a sharp ruler in the back room perhaps??

Don't get me wrong the kid was just being cute with his friends and really didn't deserve any punishment what so ever, maybe a stern look and his name being called out, but other than that this went way overboard.

lol no but the kid would not have gotten whipped with a ruler, he probably wouldnt have gotten any kind of punishment as there was no reason at all to punish him.

oh my god he said someone looked like someone else, what a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing tragedy :omg:

Obviously you didn't understand the comment I made. Yes if a child had been disrespectful, he most certainly would have been dealt with. Astern talking to at least, or corporal punishment if it had been an ongoing situation.

I'm not talking about the idiotic situation going on here, only saying if the child had done something that was considered rude or out of line or not appropriate, they would have been dealt with immediately. And if a penguin determined that off the cuff comments were not gentlemanly, or rude, even if taken out of context, they would have done something about it and nobody would care, or be going on for 6 pages about it.

As I have already said this was just a kid trying to be funny with his friends, but plenty of kids have been disciplined for making light of any given situation on school grounds, so this was obviously handled wrong and the excuse for the punishment is even more stupid than the punishment itself.

It just amazes me what kids get away with these days, and what they are called on.

I'l lay odds the ACLU won't even bother to look into.
The very reason behind the creation of the ACLU and they'll remain
moot on the sidelines.Just another example of what this country has
turned into.An almost 3rd Reich. There is actually a movement under this
Obama Regime to have school kids turn in their parents.Rat Fink out
their Parents.Of course this has been written about.
Ray Bradbury and George Orwell, even Fabian Society charter member,
George Bernard Shaw. This is what Liberalism lead to.A Society of
    Woodrow Wilson's.

    in our Metropolos'.

Actually... conservatives don't support public school teachers. Most public school teachers are wastes of space. There is a reason that those college kids with the lowest IQs are the ones who are planning to be teachers.
