OK if they are not directly linked to Al-Qaeda , but they are wahhabis or salafists or takfiris. You think thats any better?

Just because many of the rebels have beards and shout "Allah Akbar" does not make them evil terrorists. The rebels may have allowed some extremist groups from around to world to fight alongside them, but that is simply because the latter are better funded and more capable. The rebels don't necessarily support these groups; they are ambivalent towards them. Indeed, they have even fought with them on a number of occasions.

They are still Syrians. And I get the impression that Syrians wouldnt accept someone like the Muslim Brotherhood or other salafist in control of government. Just not enough support among the public.

That's why "Islamic State in Iraq and Levant " and "Al Nusra Front" are in control of Aleppo region, Ar-Raqqah and Deir ez Zor and Damascus suburbs. There is Sharia Law in those rebel controlled areas. They banned Christians and Shias from those areas.

But I do appreciate your naive thoughts

That the Beards are all cooperating in torturing and murdering the Syrian people makes them all of the same ilk, Talmudic "Muslims" rampaging against the Prophets and Saints, trying to destroy Syria both culturally, historically and genetically.

Time for Syria to finish the job they started in the 7th Century:

But a portion of Syria. Support in Aleppo doesnt translate to support in Syria.
So you think if a free and fair election by all Syrian citizens would elect an Islamic government applying Shariah as law?

Not a portion of Syria. All areas under rebel control have strict Sharia religious law. I am going to name Aleppo as the biggest case. But there is also Ar-Raqqah and Deir ez-Zor , areas of Idlib and Damascus countryside.

Are you that naive to think that the terrorists in Syria really think about what the people want. "Free and fair" election. Al-Nusra, ISIS and ISIL already said they do not want any free elections. Come on, do not be naive. That is like saying Afghans had a choice after the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan. The Taliban took over because they were the most fanatical and had the biggest guns. In Syria it's going to be same case!

Where are fair and free elections in Ar-Raqqah?

Here is one member of a group that governs Ar-Raqqah.

You think he is there to spread democracy and freedom?!

John Kerry has been spouting off about the Arab nations willingness to pay the cost of this thing, but your post is brilliant. Of course! They have built up their own armies. Let them handle this, no need to send money to USA at all!!!

ITMT: Russia blames Rebels for chem. attacks. Sounds reasonable. http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2013/09/05/201268/russia-releases-100-page-report.html#.UikDYD8naF8

Obama and Kerry want to whore out the US Military to Qatar/ Saudi Arabia to be used as mercenaries. Kerry said Qatar and SA will pay for all rockets and costs to attack Syria. It is embarassing ! Is the US Military becoming hired guns for oil rich Arab sheikhs? I think so!

Are you yoking, why we Christians must support Radical Islam? Better ten Assads as one Al-Qajeda. You kill non-stop Christians in Syria and we shall you help. Never.
We do not need a new Muslim Brotherhood in Damascus. If you get support from your Brother Muslim Hussein Obama, than he shall help you with his private money,
at best if he go alone to fight for you. We are not completely idiots to fight for destroyers of churches and radical islamists.

Could be. Ill defer to your judgment that the Syrian people would roll over and just accept government by Al Qaeda.

I know Obama is a liar and Kerry is too. The soldier is caught between a rock and a hard place.

The American people do not want another war. Obama, Kerry and a lot of other idiots in Washington seem to want it real bad.

Seems like the America people are caught between a rock and a hard place also.

    scary aint it?

So far, Obama is claiming that this aint a declaration of war
    but everyone knows better.

I even watched a congressman over and over state that this choice is for or against war.

Should that be a part of the language? ie.... this is a declaration of 'war' not just a missile strike

The scariest part for me is the fact that Putin gave him a way out.
They have no positive proof that the government of Syria released the chemical weapons and that was his way out and he is either too arrogant or stupid to keep us out of this war.

It could get out of hand quickly.

Has nothing to do with Syrian people accepting or denying anything. Those with the biggest guns will force whatever they want on anyone. The ones with more weapons and biggest guns are al-qaeda. Syrian people do not have a voice in rebel areas. They have to accept al-qaeda rule if they like i or not!

No one is ignoring the problem.

In Germany there were other capable forces able to replace Hitler. Who do you suggest here?

Everytime I come on this board lately I have to go over and check regular News to make sure the bombing hasn't started.

So far, Obama has not launched ONE missile, and it looks less and less like he will every day. I do find it highly distressing that we have been supplying the rebels but as Saudi has said they would make up any shortfall if we stopped I guess we should at least make sure they get value for their money, so they won't charge us any more for gasoline.

We provided non lethal aid and supposedly Obama has just a couple weeks ago decided to begin to provide small arms, though I read somewhere that hasn't happened yet.

I think Assad is very much willing to go further.
I think he needs a lot of advice he is not leading his people but killing them otherwise.
If truly the islamic faith is that influential then they should use it to enlighten Assad.

The Legislative Branch is comprised of hundreds upon hundreds of Senators and Congressmen. You are being dishonest if you make believe one member of Congress somehow outweighs the fact that Hamas was created by the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood. Not sure who you think you are fooling when you post such bizarre fabrications.

Syrians deserve Al Qaeda as their government.
