    that sounds awful.

That must mean all the countries with the highest suicide rates have a lot of guns.

It also must mean that the suicide rate in Australia is lower now than it was before the mandatory buy-backs.

I'm sure both of those are true, yeah?

You think including more countries in the data falsifies it?

The bottom line is that the only guns that are safe are locked away ... that is FACT ... and armoury is the correct spelling in English ... that is also FACT.

Deal with them one at a time or go cold turkey if you think you can manage it. :aww:

    1) and yet most American gun owners don't a) have a gun safe and b) lock their firearms up. Most of us prefer them to be in usable condition and hidden, rather than trigger locked or locked in the safe. There are hundreds of millions of [KNOWN] firearms in America. There are over 100 million owners of firearms, that are [KNOWN]. This does not include those in illegal possession, or for which there is no record of the transaction. And yet most gun deaths are suicides, and of the homicides there are some roughly 11k of, which includes justifiable shootings by citizens at large and armed police. 11k/100mil = 0.00011 or less than 1% of known lawful gun owners being involved in gun deaths, even JUSTIFIABLE gun deaths.

^ No, the current most spoken dialect (modern american english) removes the U, and many other extras like the extra p and e from shoppe etc, as shown.

I'm wondering why you'd compare yourselves to nations which are not exactly bastions of the Democratic First World. Curious.

You mean in countries where there is no neighbourhood too dangerous to live in, and people in CITIES can leave their windows open at night?

Ah no. All guns are safe, even those loaded, cocked and locked. What makes any gun dangerous is ignorance, carelessness, and complacency.

So under lock and key is not the way a "clue-abundant" person would do it? With logic like that, I now understand why the U.S. is proud of its rampant, daily shootings & murder.

Your argument about keeping guns has had no credibility from the very beginning and every step of your whining about my correct use of English is simply another shovel-full, digging yourself deeper and deeper into the muck. In fact, you have lost all recollection of your own gripe and you are now just flapping your elbows.

And BTW - Correct grammar would have it "Frankie says". Note the letter 's' ..... and the correct spelling would be "American English". Note the capital "A" and "E".

First, you say that it isn't the gun that kills but now you are telling me that guns need to be educated. Very odd.

Such as the fully-automatic firearms that were stored locked away in national guard armories, that were stolen and utilized by the moonshine runners of the prohibition era? Those were not privately purchased firearms that were being used at the time.

First and foremost, because the united states is not, and thus should be compared honestly along with all others, not simply select others for the express purpose of making it look bad.

Secondly, these other nations do exist in the real world, and trying to ignore their failures does not make those failures go away. The nation of Venezuela has very significant firearm-related restrictions, and a government to actually go about enforcing them, yet its murder rate is significantly higher than that of the united states.

Is it truly being stated on the part of yourself, that there are entire cities and countries that are devoid of crime, both violent and otherwise? Cities where those who reside within do not have to concern themselves with the possibility of being a victim of sexual assault, or their home robbed by an individual suffering from substance abuse addiction?

Name these countries and cities where crime does not exist.

Oh, I understand very well. Your last post indicates that if guns were lying about, strewn all over the countryside, it would be OK as long as the population were educated enough so those guns wouldn't become instruments of death. Who are you trying to con ... the neighbourhood kindergarten?

Works like that out here where live, we have guns everywhere, but no shootings, figure that one out, I doubt you can because you are clueless about gun safety and the education required to achieve that.

Not conning anybody and I'll take it a step further, our Sheriff encourages the citizens of my county to be armed and in furtherance of that goal offers free gun safety class's for anyone over the age of 6 years old. And in addition he offers for a mere $25 a four weekend course in Tactical Defensive Shooting taught by the leader/instructor of the SRT, the only requirement being anyone taking the course must pass a full background check.

And he is not unique in that aspect either, 70% of the Sheriff's in Florida offer similar courses either for free or at a very low cost, the reason being they understand having a vetted and trained armed citizenry if a force multiplier for their departments.

Maybe someday you should pull your head out of the sand and get a better idea of the world around you and the fact "normal people" are quite law abiding and if afforded the proper training, are very safe when it comes to possessing and utilizing firearms.

But I doubt you will do that as you hate guns and those who possess them, which is a serious illness.
