That's true. Same for Democrats and Independents though the division differs.

My personal views on abortion are mixed, but in general, I feel -- again, personally -- that at the point that a developing fetus is capable of life independent of the 'host-female', then, yes -- it is a 'life-form', and, ALIVE. But we are a secular nation, based in our Constitution, and therefore that 'host-female' is, and MUST be, in full, uncompromised ownership and possession of her body and everything in it. Therefore, she, and she alone is legally empowered to make any decision concerning abortion -- and -- if there are repercussions from her decision, one way or the other, then the residual responsibility must also be hers and hers alone!

I do dislike everything about 'abortion', per se, but we must never allow purely subjective, personal feelings to intrude on anyone's rights as fellow American citizens.

SCOTUS striking down 'Roe v Wade' did not make abortion illegal, as the hyperliberal 'social justice warriors' of the Left would have everyone believe -- but -- the 'optics' of this action contributed significantly to the whole 2022 election debacle. We of the sane, common-sense Middle and Right should (SHOULD) have taken over both the House and Senate. Now, with a Warnock victory in the Georgia run-off all but certain, guaranteeing continued Democrat control over the Senate, we'll have little else for the next two years but political 'trench-warfare' and Biden's handlers coming out with one "Executive" action, decree, edict, and proclamation after another... a dismal prospect, indeed.

But I wonder if we haven't already 'driven the car over the cliff' and because we're still 'flying through the air', don't realize that we're definitely headed down into financial disaster. You are a person who understands the economy quite well, and I'm certain that the ominous reality of our national debt-to-GDP ratio at >120% is not lost on you. Both of our chief opponents, Russia and, more importantly, CHINA, maintain their ratios at well below that renowned 'tipping-point' toward disaster of 77%. Our wonderous central bank, the Fed, began setting us up for catastrophe way back in August 2007, and now their gigantic 'fraud balloon' is starting to collapse.

I'll try to share other thoughts later, but I must run for now. It is a pleasure to read your posts! I wish I had your optimism and faith in the American pubic today, but I'm an old guy who has seen much -- through several really good times and bad. That said, I view the next two years in the United States and abroad with a skin-crawling sense of horror....

With a Warnock win, Kamala would be able to assume the presidency without Dems losing control of the senate.
These are the 3rd quarter numbers:

A 29 point improvement in 5 quarters. A little financial disciple, and a little increase in the supply of goods and services, and we could see some more improvement. I do not view this as hopeless. That's a bluff by a small weak group that has a lot of control IF they can keep us split 50/50 and pitted at each other's throats. Our job is to continue to calmly and patiently explain the path back to greater freedom and liberty to our fellow citizens. We can do this. The would be oligarchs are inept clowns and their disdain for us is becoming more open, obvious, and undeniable with each passing day, which will seperate them from their political base.
Yes, for the first time the Oligarchs protected the Oligarchs and other than Bernie Madoff and Martha Stewart, we did not see the normal parade of CEO's and CFO's being frog marched like we did as recently as Enron. That has to do with the US Attorneys. When Clinton came in he fired nearly everyone and replaced them with his own. That hasn't happened since. A guy like DeSantis, will, and with that, you will stop seeing the FBI operating as the armed wing of the DNC.
HAHAHA! Well, if you're an old guy you also know that two years flies by like you're snapping your fingers. In 2024 Dems are defending 20 Senate seats while we are only defending 13. Our 13 tend to be in States we generally win, while their 23 have a number in states they have a very difficult time carrying.

And yes, I do have faith and trust in our people and system. As Winston Churchill said: "You can always trust Americans to do the right thing, after they try everything else."

We are the longest surviving Democracy in existence today and one of the longest surviving governments of any type in the world today. But, it's like gardening, the weeds keep coming and we have to be equally diligent about carefully maintaining it. We are the luckiest people on the planet, born on the best piece of real estate in the word, during the best period of human history.

Just a hundred years ago something as simply as a kidney stone would have left us writhing on the floor in agony for a week or more. Now, it's still tough, but, nothing like that. We can handle this, our forebears overcame much worse.

You you know of any blue states that ban abortion? I don't know of any.

Can't think of any but I don't know. What a state does may or may not reflect the thinking of the populace.

I'm concerned about what those who make policy think. If Seven states totally ban abortion, that's a concern worthy of attention.

I agree. However, that is not the same as Republicans want to outlaw abortion completely.

Maybe, but that isn't as important as those in power who want to ban abortion completely.
