    No votes for financial gain?

    How about George Adamski?

    Famous case.

Made claims about, yes, you guessed it, beautiful alien beings (somewhat Tutonic), and yup, more sex.

Oh, and he got to fly around space, and he visited Mars etc too, which I think he said had intelligent life on it.

So that worked out well then....

As for abductions, really, when you get to the heart of it, the so called 'evidence' is actually painful.

Let's leave aside claims, as claims mean nothing in terms of hard evidence, I can claim to have ridden a Unicorn, but in the absence of evidence, you would be wise to be sceptical.

Usually we get these rolled out...

    1) 'Unexplained' objects under skin. Yeah? Bid deal. Any expert in the field will tell you that lots and lots of people have objects under the skin, little bits of metal, wood, whatever, even organic matter, if it is a bit of fatty tissue. I do not know of one single case where any object has been removed that has proven to be any sort of tracker, scanner, electronic tag, etc etc. Not one that has been peer reviewed, and accepted by science. They common explaination is more mundane - it turns out to be very little at all.

    2) 'Unexplained' marks on body. Yeah? Most people do not go around scrutinising their bodies that closely, every day, but if you did, over a month, I bet you would find a scratch or mark that you could not explain. What is the most likely reason you can think of? Maybe just snagged yourself, when you had a few beers the other night? Or taken to the Mothership by aliens, and experimented on in an operation by a bunch of apparently rubbish surgeons, given the marks they leave?

    3) 'Missing time'. Yeah, and guess what, when hypnotized, you got it, Mothership, blah blah. Might want to consider the credibility of so called regression therapists, who have been proven to plant false memories NOT prompt old one's.
