Being idiots we can waste our time discussing nonsense. But I honestly do not understand why the person with such high IQ waste his time responding to idiots while he can discuss Pozner's points with someone clever from Russian fifth column, with mademoiselle Novodvorskaya for example.

All the fast food chains are claiming there is massive demand in Russia for American Fast food.

    So is the NYT lying?

You mean Japan and Brazil and Taiwan and Australia and India are part of NATO? when did that happen?

In English we call this a metaphor.

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/metaphor

Your assumptions are not objective fact merely because you believe them.

Politically, yes, he is. A given President may CHOOSE to compromise on something, but it is not something he is required to do by law. And Vetoing unpopular legislation (for example) will actually increase his chances for re-election.

So yes, a President often has an incentive to go against the status quo.

No, he doesn't. If his control over the population is too weak, he might be forced to make compromises to placate the masses. That does not mean the masses like him, it just means they are not pissed off enough to risk their lives to remove him.

All that means is that his gun (remember...this is a metaphor) isnt big enough.

The fact that someone is not willing to risk their life to overthrow a dictator is NOT evidence that they agree with the dictator. Your premise is retarded.

Not directly. Maybe the words "yes" and "no" don't exist in the Russian language?

Probably, this is news for you, but your mass-media very often lie and exaggerate. I live here and I can see by own eyes the situation. I do not see the boom of American fast food except of two McDonalds and KFC. We have some pizzerias here. But a pizza is the Italian invention, not the American one. And all these pizzerias belong to Russian companies.I think Japaneses have more bases to assert that their food is very popular in Russia as we have many Japanese restaurants here.

What can prevent to recognize these countries as dictatorships if it will be necessary for someone?

And how many American presidents were elected without someone's supports and money? As far as I know even George Washington have spent a few money to the pre-election political company.
Just the provisional list of clauses of expenditure in a pre-election company.
1.Rent of an office for a staff of candidate.
    2.Office equipment for a staff.
    3.Transport (rent).
4.Organizational expenditure of a staff (the salary of technicians, drivers, mobile and stationary communication, writing expenditure, gasoline, etc.)
5.Petition (the salary to collectors of signatures and accompanying expenditure).
    6.Manufacturing of polygraphic production.
7.Payment of "custom-made" materials in regional and federal mass-media
8.Manufacturing of advertising - information materials.
9.Accommodation of promotional materials in mass-media.
    10.Manufacturing of billboard advertising.
11.Payment for distribution of printed information.
12.The organizational expenditure connected to teaching of observers and propagandists.
13.The salary of observers in the day of voting.
    14.Living expenses of headquarters staff.

In what reality do you live?

And a president certainly has no assistants and advisers which influence on his decisions? He has no speechwriters which write his speeches? He does not take into account the interests of influential financial groups and companies?

So you agree that in a case if his control over the population is too weak, he might be forced to make compromises. But the problem is a single person is not able to take this control without someone's help. So a dictator always makes compromises to somebody. But if you consider that a single person is able to frighten a country, try to become the dictator in any little country. What a problem? Take a big gun, make a terrible face and conquer their. Without the help of US Army of course.

You just carp the answer. I have quite clearly told to you my opinion in this occasion. I do not know what explanatories do you want else. I repeat again. Every person to some extent is a product of propaganda. I do not think I'm the exception.

That appears to be a tacit admission that there are lots of democracies outside of NATO.

The countries I mentioned are not part of our military block (NATO), yet they are not at war with us. Quite the contrary. What is your explanation for this?

I already explained how in post #218.

The money spent is for exposure, not to run. In America there are multiple avenues for exposure, many of which are free (the internet comes to mind). Exposure does not guarantee anything...if people dont like your message, it does not matter how much money you spend.

Even the items you listed are not "required" to run for office. If you dont have office equipment for your staff, the US government will not forbid you from running for office. People can still vote for you.

    LOL

If they made the decisions, they would be called "The President", instead of "Assistants and advisers".

Assistants and advisers are just that...they assist and advise. The final decision is not theirs. And influence is not control.

He has absolute veto power over anything in his speeches. He can read just parts of it or none of it at all. The final decision is his, not the speech writer's.

And he will be held accountable as if he wrote the speech himself. If the speech says "I hate all black people" and he actually uses that part of the speech, he will be treated as if he wrote it. So for all intents and purposes, it is his speech.

If they make it harder for him to get re-elected, then no, he doesn't. The KKK could offer the President $5 billion to do what they want, but he would still not do it. Money is not some magic remote control for people. LOL

That is not evidence that the masses agree with him. It is just evidence that he does not have enough to threaten them with.

Of course they can, if the control is serial. I control someone else, who in turn controls others, ect...on down the line. The person at the top precipitates everything else...therefore that person is in control.

What if I dont have access to a big gun? What if the dictator threatens to shoot me if I even try to obtain a big gun?

So you have been brainwashed by propaganda? Ok.

If that is true, how can what you say be trusted? How do I know you are not simply repeating what someone else has told you to say if you are brainwashed? How did you determine that your brainwashing is less than mine?

The territory of Russia is more then the U.S. nearly doubled
Considering that ,I'd say your American hamburger nearly
doubled will be less available in Russia. And considering the
specifics of settlement in Russia ,I lower my assessed by two times,
and given that in small-towns hamburger at all no one wants it,
so then I multiply the balance by zero .

Right today I've seen the movie with Harrison Ford as President and Garry Oldman as Russian. Coursely, he's "the beast, the President is Hero".
On another forum I can see:
Obama watches higher than Medvedev, Medvedev looks childish.
Cameron, coursely, don't care about it at all.
Is there Cold War feaures? Who knows.
Well, maybe it's not democracy conversations to talk about and elaborate we're here for.

Its all very well having all that land , but 90% of it is trees .
And the reason the small towns don't like Hamburgers ( I hate the muck) is they have never seen a Mc D and have barely the money to buy Bread , let alone American excrement posing as food

No doubt the South Koreans, Berliners and Kosovars are happy that they haven't got your jaundiced, anti-American, blatantly biased view of history.

Probably because they have no resources which is necessary for your economy. Japan, Taiwan and Brazil are completely in a vein of the USA policy. What is the sense to be at war them. But Hugo Chávez is the dictator of course, because he does not like the USA. It does not matter he is elected at elections.
Iran is not at war with North Korea. Does it mean they are democracies?

I asked to tell me about American presidents which were elected without someone's supports and money. Quantity and names.

Theoretically I can run for office having nothing. But what's the use to run for office in this way if chances to win the elections are equal to zero? I do not ask you about laws, I speak about the reality in which it is impossible to win elections without money. Pre-election presidential political campaigns In the USA: 1996 - 448,9 millions dollars, 2000 - 649,5 millions dollars. 2008 about 5 billions. This is the reality.
    So Lol is not argument.

They can be named in any word: advisers, assistants, speechwriters. In any case they are people which influence decision. As a president makes his decisions which his advisers advise and says words which are written by his speechwriters. Sometimes we do not know their names but they are the real governors.

Just there are financial groups which much richer than KKK. And what is KKK in the country in which almost a half of population are colored? Only the complete idiot will support them, as this is the direct way to civil war and disintegration. KKK is the lame example.

What ways dictator can use to rule someone? In what way he controls the chief of army and police? In what way he controls rich corporations?

In this case you must create plot to overthrow the dictator. The group is always stronger than a single person. Almost a month I try to prove you this axiom.

I read and I listen. Certainly sometimes I repeat which was told by others. All of us influence each other as we live not in vacuum. You repeat Fox news and Washington Post too. It is obvious. Any word which you say publicly is a propaganda. Your mum spoke you when you was the child. " Sonny wash your hands ", This is propaganda of cleanliness. If you'd ignore the advice of your mum, you'd be piggy-wiggy in that case. Any society has sociocultural and politically norms. These norms fasten a society, we try to correspond to them. In what way you have learned about these norms if not propaganda?

Majority of American's don't realize how corrupt their nation is. The mainstream media, mega corporations and banks dictate who the American's choose as their leader. Just look at the top contributors of Obama, Newt and Romney. All banks. Ron Paul on the other hand, people and contributors from the Army, Navy and Air force.

They are delusional people. What can I say, all they are fed is bull(*)(*)(*)(*) and they never question anything. Obama accepted 25 billion dollars from the bank so that they do not investigate and prosecute anyone involved in the financial crisis that destabilized the global economy. Its a joke.

Privet. When I lived there and in Odessa, it seemed to me that the former Soviet Union was just as engaged in The Cold War as the Yanks. I remember seeing a movie, that was basically a rip off of an American movie, where the bad guys of the KGB and Spetznaz were simply replaced with bad guys from the CIA and Army Rangers.
    Same coin, opposite side.
The Cold War was very real for both sides and the third part of the equation you left out - China.
