Here's a radical thought. Jesus didn't exist and all organised religion is BS.

The Jews did to Jesus what the Christians right now do,... to anyone who says he is the messiah or the Christ.
No one has come forward recently, who gained enough attention to empty out other churches.
But when Smith did for the Mormons, they killed him in 1850.

We all know what the Muslims would do, too.

    Religion just does this.
Moses had the same problem with Pharaoh, too.
Religion is something people are raised to think they believe in, and all we see is the results, when beliefs are opposed.

I believe the media are being a bit racist/religionist or whatever in expecting all Muslims to come out and apologise for what ISIS and Al Qaeda do given that Muslims themselves are the people most harmed by them and those who are not in Al Qaeda/ISIS have no responsibility for what they do. It is a bit like naming and shaming all Muslims. Recently I was reading some work where experts/intellectuals in this area were saying, correctly I think that we should stop associating Muslims with terrorism. We should stop associating religion with terrorism because they know full and well from their work that it is about Politics just like every terrorism always is. They use religion in a perverted way yes, but those who are attracted are moved by politics - there may be the odd exception in that ISIS has been trying to present itself as this marvellous community showing videos of australian doctors in modern hospitals etc to people in the West because it wants to bring up a real society not just fighters and a few have gone but for most who go to fight it is about politics.

So No, I do not think Jews should be named and shamed any more than I think Muslims should. I think that due to the right wing slant of our media we need far more accurate reporting. The fact that the Government was for instance able to say that Israel is just defending itself when it is attacking Gaza is beyond belief in a democracy. I think the pro Israel stance which is certainly not deserved on actions is in danger of creating a subset of antisemitism by frustrated people and I think this could be very dangerous.

JFJFP believe that they are supported by many more Jews than come to join them. They work with Muslims to heal relations. That is good work.

Another British Jewish organisation, name forgets me at the moment, which arranges for British Jews to go to the West Bank so that they can see what is going on has been very successful for that. They are working for a genuine viable two state solution. May be too late for that but they are allowing British Jews to have a much better understanding of the situation and people say they are really moved. They had no idea what it was like before they went...so i think we need to work on genuine knowledge and awareness not shaming anyone.

    1) But every nation has always had an Institution of Religion, and they do not go away simply by mentioning that.

    2) The point that Jesus was making was that everyone should be allowed to discuss religion openly, in safety.

What you just said, once was a crime, but even now, it would be attacked by religious people as wrong.
In America, you can safely say it.
In Israel, you can safely say it.
    In Islam, you can not.

This is Religious Freedom in America, which also protects the Freedom of Speech.
But you can NOT say what you said in Iran.

Religious books are not historical books. I don't believe in the fairy tales of the former. There is no historical evidence that Jesus existed so on that basis questions relating to Christian religious institutional validity are moot. In my world, all religious teaching would be reduced to kinds of obscurantist nonsense confined to the New Age community.

Then does your New Age community believe there exists one, same, and identical Reality for us all?
Do you believe that people who live in fantasy worlds re somewhat insane?

Does your group believe that Sane people live in Reality?
Do you agree that Truth is the only way we can find out what is real?

I agree with you that in a ideal world, it ought to be unnecessary to expect anybody to condemn actions based on false assumptions and projections of others. But we don't live in that kind of world. We live in a world, where politicians' and journalists attribute the actions of maniacs on entire communities thus giving the false impression, for example, that all Muslims are maniacs and followers of the cult ISIS. Muslim leaders are constantly paraded on TV having to defend the actions of this or that nut case. But this expectation rarely, if ever, is part of the media discourse in relation to the Jewish community.

Logically, this can only be due to three reasons - a) There is an unwillingness on the part of the media to properly investigate dissenting voices within the said community, b) that these alleged dissenting voices do not exist in any significant numbers or, which follows on from this that c) the vast majority of Jews actually support the actions of, and have an affinity with, the regime that occupies political power with the Jewish State.

Now, I think its the latter that's predominantly the case. It's a hunch based on the statistics I cited previously and also how I observe the behaviour of Jews and their views on a daily basis where I live. It seems to me that the vast majority of Jews have an affinity with the Jewish State and that state adopts extreme, racist and neofascist policies.

But there is another side to all this that brings the legitimacy of those who claim to have Islamic beliefs into question. The reality is, Muslims whether they identify as being extreme or moderate, ultimately self-identify as being Muslim. So a mad psychopathic head chopping and heart eating maniac will justify his actions based on his particular 'cherry-picked' interpretation of the Koran, while the moderate Muslim will justify his actions by cherry picking another quote. Both will deny the legitimacy of the other but will nevertheless self-identify as Muslims based on what they interpret from the holy book.

This is at the heart of religious sectarianism which is predominantly a feature of Islam. It's something that as an atheist I refuse not to acknowledge but which Muslims the world over are in denial of.

Heh! The last time you told me to Google something I found the opposite of what you told me to expect. Just admit that you don't know what you're talking about.

and two wrongs would not make a right.

Well you have different tv reception than me because I have often seen the descenting voices. Again it is political. We have the relationship between Israel and the US up to the Iraq war

Israeli-Palestinian Peace – What’s Iraq got to do with it?

and you have the UK with Labour under Blair moving from what it said it was going to do which was to make sure the US stopped supporting Israel in avoiding putting Oslo into operation - if you read that article you will find that it was the neo cons themselves who suggested to Israel she avoid making agreements if at all possible - so you have that situation going on between the US and Israel and then you have Blair deciding to join in and convincing first Germany and then the EU to stop working for a resolution in Israel and instead to leave Israel to deal with things militarily, where she would obviously always win and to put Palestinian political activists in Prison

    http://www.lrb.co.uk/v33/n05/alastair-crooke/permanent-temporariness

That is the situation our country was taken into. Our leaders lie in order not to make redress. That is why we get lies on our tv's.

Now before this happened, before 9/11 when the political feeling in the UK certainly on the side of Labour was in opposition to the actions of Israel, you never heard any Jew asked about what Israel was doing. Then we were quite clear. What Israel does is something different to our Jews who are a part of the UK not Israel.

Now Israel was getting (*)(*)(*)(*) scared. The EU had someone in who was managing to get Hamas to the table - which of course was stopped by Blair but nonetheless Israel wanted to make sure all was OK so Jews in Britain became part of the game - they had to stand up for Israel - or they would suffer the holocaust or whatever but the point is it does not matter a (*)(*)(*)(*) what British Jews think. What matters is what our politicians are doing. You are not going to change anyone's mind by degrading them. When the political will changes so will the mood of Jews and I have not a clue the percentage who support or do not support Israel because the main ones I come across are those who are working for Justice there and the reason as far as I can gather that they do is because they have a similar political feeling to me not because they are Jews.

If a neighboring nation where you live sent over rockets everyday into you country, would you expect your leaders to forcibly respond in some fashion???

Well let me think. On one hand we have the Jewish narrative, which funnily enough is oddly like the one you try to sell and goes something a bit like this.

“Since time began and including today, totally unrelated groups of people from totally unrelated cultures and time zones all eventually and for no clear reason, wake up on the Jew hating side of the bed.
Charged with this Jew hate, non-Jews then set out to genocide Jews, sometimes the genocide them by expelling them. One of the reasons people wake up with sudden onset Jew hate is they suddenly realise Jews killed Christ.

The strange thing is it wasn’t even Jews that killed Christ – it was the “Romans”. These same Romans actually holocausted 40 million Jews as is referenced in the Jewish Talmud. Although demographers can show that 40million Jews never existed in the entire world, it must always be remembered that demographers are all Jew haters – “so they would talk the numbers down”.

For 2,000 years, right up to the present, Jews have been goodly, decent and moral people, all they want to do is read Torah and eat gefilte fish. But the rest of the World periodically take it in turns to hate Jews, and all for no good reasons at all. Muslims, Christians, whites, Romans, Germans, the English, the Russians, the Spanish etc etc, all just idiots and haters that hated Jews for no good reason. They just sort of did.”

A cool story from a psycho that wasn’t emotionally evolved enough to accept blame for anything. Ever. ^^.

So people can buy into that delusion. Or they can look around today and ask “Why do people seem to dislike Jews”?

I’d suggest the latter. For everyone’s sake.

If you mix with left wing, right wing or any other vested interest group, it's necessarily going to distort your political perspective. When I was a student, I was convinced that nobody could be as barbaric as to re-elect the Tories but re-elect them they did. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. But from my own experience, the majority of Jewish people are as right ring and pro-Israel as it's possible to be.

    ...well, they're newbies.
They didn't have an Israel until 1948, and the minute they got the State, a zillion Palestinians attacked to take it all away.

The Jews fought like if they lost, there was no place they could go.
So, with that incentive, they managed to survive and chase the Palestinians hoards away.

From then on, the same Palestinians have tried again and again, to take Israel away forever.
But again and again, they all lost every time.

If you equate pro-Israel and right-wing, it's going to distort YOUR political perspective... Then from the point of view of a self-admitted communist, everything to the right of Mao must appear right wing to you.

What the "rest of the world" is going to see happen is that a punishment is coming now that they have finished being against the Jews:

Jer 30:11 For I am with you, (Israel), to save you (from Holocaust), declares the Lord; I will make a full end of all the (Western) nations among whom I scattered you, but of you I will not make a full end (in the Holocaust). I will discipline you (in Nazi Germany), in just measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.

Nope, to be pro-Israeli is to be pro-neoZionist which means pro-illegal fascistic expansionism based on the concept of Eretz Yisrael. Hitler was a expansionist and a right wing fascist, no different in principle to Likudite fascism.

There's hundreds of levels of the support of Israel but from the radical leftist/islamofascist/neo-nazi extremism the distinction isn't visible which means the perspective is distorted.

Yeah, that’s probably the long term hope and goal of at least some Jews, and some Jewish shot callers and oligarchs as well most likely.

For the past number of years, it does seem a remarkable and amazing coincidence that every nation that would have to be weakened either by external or engineered internal war in order for Jewry to hope to actualise this, has indeed been weakened and destroyed.

It's not a coincidence. US imperialism and Israeli ambitions fit like a hand to a glove.
