    Reminds me of the time I took my family to see the play 'A Christms Carol' in Atlanta. Two of 'Tiny Tim's' siblings were black...........try explaining that to a five year old. I look forward to seeing George Washington and Abraham Lincoln portrayed by black actors..........LMAO at the silliness.

    Could care less whether they have a black, yellow or green Annie, but the person who wrote the OP Guardian article is a race-baiting moron who offers 0 substantiation for the claim that there is any pervasive, material racial tweeting going on about this. I'm pretty sure there isn't.

    Will bet $1 shiny internet coin there are more people out there tweeting about sex with their pets or how to prepare human chitterlings than are tweeting about this.

    Jews are considered 'White'..........not black or Asian............even though they have traditionally worked against White interests as can be seen in the casting of a black 'Annie'

    The only black Jew I ever met was Sammy Davis, Jr...............and he converted........his black ancestors were not Jewish..........and Annie had red hair.........and MLK did not have blond hair and blue eyes.

    My take, got to love the ignorance of people like you. First of all Jesus was Jewish, and if you want to figure out what he looked like you can look at Sephardic Jews today, darker then Norwegian but could pass for south European. Second point, Egyptian Princes for the most part were caucasian, only briefly were the Nubians who are black in charge of Egypt. So a Hebrew light semitic (as described prior)could easily pass for an Egyptian Prince. So research before you open your yap.

    Quite non-racist, now that you mention it, considering I'm from there and have seen people of all races walk around the harbor, Downtown, Fells Point, Canton, etc without getting physically attacked by racists.

    I'd heard that as well. Cue the liberals saying that the reason it failed was because of racists and not because it sucked. Well, never fear, the Fantastic Four reboot is coming soon, and the Human Torch is black there. Although from what little I've read about that storyline, it will be even WORSE than the first two, no mean feat there.

    Who cares if a Black girl is playing Annie. (I don't even know what this movie is about). I guess the only people that care are probably racists.

    No one cared when Jake Gyenhall (however you spell his name) played the main character in Prince of Persia who was...Persian?
