    I never said it was.

However teaching creationism in science class is forcing religion onto students.

Absolutely. Any time you force anyone to take part in anything that is religious, that's forcing religion on them.

Really? I've come to conclude the tradition of saying "bless you" when someone sneezes is silly. It started (according to what I was taught as a kid, anyway) because people though a sneeze was, literally, expelling an "evil spirit" from the body. Now we know it's just a simple biological function related to nose hair stimulation, something in the lungs, or an infection of some kind. Even if I were a religionist, I (don't think, anyway) that I would still be of the belief that a sneeze is expelling an evil spirit.

And yet, I say bless you when someone sneezes. And when someone says it to me, I thank them. It's just ingrained. I have NEVER had a single person react negatively, even total strangers.

Then our experiences are different. Of course, I haven't said "bless you" to every single human that's ever sneezed in my presence, nor has the reverse occurred, but nobody (of an unknown and unknowable amount of people) that I've said it to has been offended.

I show examples of Gov putting out a message and you respond with private people putting out a message.... you don't get it, they are not the same thing, one is ok, the other is not

Christians groups like the Westboro Baptist Church put out all kinds of religious hate, constitutional, but if the gov did the same it would not be

We'll, I don't know where you get that from. Certainly not from me. I respect others religious beliefs as long as that belief isn't imposed on me, by force.

Theories are peer reviewed and seek to explain why something is happening.

Creationism/intelligent design just assigns credit to a deity. That isn't science.

How is the Government pushing religion?

    - - - Updated - - -

I think you give far to much credit to the fact that something is peer reviewed. If you have a group of scientists that have already have a predetermined outcome in there minds of course they are going to "agree" him something that fits the agenda.

Creationism and intelligent design in public schools are two fairly well known ways; allowing or encouraging religious texts to be prominently displayed on government buildings and property is now probably the most current.

Scientists don't 'make their bones' by tacitly agreeing with fellow scientists in their field of study, tho they may publish results of their experiments that support someone else. That is, they were able to duplicate the original finding. However, they'll gain more recognition by shredding someone else's theory by providing better evidence or showing where the original theory went off the rails.

Can you list the atheist rappers? I dislike rap (and that doesn't mean ALL atheists dislike rap) so I'm not as familiar with that music as you seem to be.

I am an atheist and don't think songs about raping anyone are fine.......could you give me numbers on how many Christians listen to rap as opposed to the numbers of atheists who support it?

Well,if you read the Federalist papers, and indeed the associated scriptures, it's pretty clear that, yes it was.

Lol and yet, we have atheist groups running around threatening to sue over being offended at public displays of anything religious.

    Get over yourself.

The atheist extremists freak out if they see any religious anything and want it banned.

Of course, they have no problem taking advantage of religious holidays though.

What if you replace the word "establishment" with "specific", or "particular"?.

A business can be referred to as "an establishment".

To me, the wording means that the government can't create their own state religion, not can they make laws that are based on religion.

That does NOT change this fact about the religious:They suffer from the sins of Arrogance, Pride and Entitlement, they truly , and erroneously, believe that people who believe in god are good decent people ONLY because they believe in god....that's all it takes in their opinion.

They are bullies who want THEIR opinions made into law, opinions based on their flimsy morals and will never admit that there ARE better people whose opinions are just as valid.

    Say what?

Where has the government simply changed it as they saw fit, without following the proper course to make a change?

Of course, we understand that some government officials may act in violation of the Constitution, and get away with it, but when has the government ever actually changed it without due process?

What I consider forcing religion onto me is pushing religion into the law or trying to legislate based on religious beliefs.

The constitution strictly prohibits this and sets up ways to combat this.[/QUOTE]

So then you don't have a problem with a government office, like, a post office having a Christmas tree set up?

What about a school that leads a non-denominational prayer in the morning, atheists are free to not participate?
