But they occupy the body of a woman.

Two entities who occupy the same body cannot have equal rights.

The voters of Mississippi realised that recently, so voted against having personhood starting at conception.

Why not? They are both viable lives. Why shouldn't they have equal rights?

You can't legislate when life begins.

What is the value of an embryo to society, or even relatives?

It is a viable life. Human life is precious.

    Why should all that matter?

No mind, no person, no victim, no crime - period.

Our personhood should not be based on on vegetative nervous system or venous system, but on our mind (higher brain).

You're talking about future value, after a woman uses her body to gestate and sustain it. I'm talking about present value, as an embryo. In its present form, what is the value of an embryo to society?

I repeat, it is a viable human life. All human life has value.

Ah, but a fetus does have a functioning brain, functioning venous system and a functioning nervous system. Indeed, it is alive, just not yet born.

But they dont have brainwaves until 5th month. Thus it is not immoral to kill such humans.

It may not be illegal but it is completely immoral to kill a viable life.

And what of unborn humans who are diagnosed with a birth defect? Are they subject to government approved execution even when they are an otherwise viable life?

If people really thought human life were precious, there would be no unnecessary wars, everyone would have access to health insurance and medical care, and they would demand strict regulations for environmental protections. There would be no unwanted children.

Perhaps in a perfect world. But this is far from being a perfect world and murdering the unborn just adds to the level of imperfection of the human race.

Jason, we're not talking about a perfect world, we are talking about THIS world. Human life is not considered to be precious in any world where unnecessary war, denial of health care and environmental protections, and abandoned children exist. That is just reality.

Perhaps to you, but not to me. To me all human life is precious, including the unborn.

If you consider sperm cells on the same scale of life as a human, then we're done, you won!

Perhaps to EVERYONE who condones the denial of health care and environmental protections, and unwanted children roaming the streets. They are usually the same ones who claim zygotes are precious human beings and must be protected.

What policies do you promote for the preservation and enhancement of human life (other than the control of women's bodies)?

They have everything to do with the claim that abortion must be criminalized because "human life is precious."

No we aren't done, since you need to tell me why killing a human is wrong.
