What was I wrong about? The governor called him a white supremacist and didn’t waste any time doing it. Do you think she would have made a comment like that and as fast as she did if the shooter was a blm member?

 

Who is "blaming whites" here? I must have missed it. The only blame I'm seeing is for the shooter himself, and a few righties blaming leftist politics or New York gun laws.

 

For clarities sake, this is the post I was responding to.

I assigned no motives or intent. However the statement "The killer must have had a good reason for doing what he did" certianly seems to be an odd one to me. For the record I didn't imply that poster was either defending or praising the killer. But plain English seems to indicate that the poster thought that the kid thought there was a good reason for killing 10 people. I just wanted him to elaborate his thoughts. I have no idea what point you are trying to make.

Not only that, New York residents are prohibited from buying guns out of state and bringing them back into the state. New York State residents are also prohibited from buying a gun out of state and having it shipped into the state.

 

Gang shootings are usually drive-by shootings or small, short "street wars" between rival gangs. They are not racially motivated, and don't involve mowing down innocent civilians.

A firearm can be purchased from a licensed dealer in another state and shipped to a licensed dealer in New York where the purchaser can pick it up. When I bought my rifles, and shotgun, and pistols in the 60s it was a lot easier.

Why the whataboutism in the first place? The right wingers here are doing their best to blow smoke over this by bringing up facts about black mass shooters, as if that's a fair comparison. This shooting, like the vast majority of mass shootjngs, was perpetrated by a young white male, likely radicalized by online whire supremacists groups.

The only time I bring up Trump is when the thread is about him, or when I'm replying to someone who brought him up. You may be projecting, or confusing me with someone else.

 

When you travel 200 miles to murder a bunch of strangers, you can't claim any type of sanctuary in justified vengeance or self defense. It's just cold, mean, and impersonal.
