    Those particular shows are terrible. But the most recent Arrowverse shows, Superman & Lois and Stargirl, seem to be free of Greg Berlanti's all-gay-all-the-time agenda.

    So is the Buy-Bull and they do mental gymnastics wrapping themselves around rationalizations for hatred and intolerance based on that.

    True or not, the fact this is so believable is due to the fact that liberals genuinely dont like America, the American flag or ideals. So this is genuinely believable.

    They probably did that to get some of that sweet Chinese dough.

    Snow flakes don't read Superman to much toxic masculinity.

    I'll happily address it. He's not an illegal immigrant he crash landed in the country as a child and Jonathan and Martha Kent adopted him. He didn't cross any boarder illegally.

    We have not recently become a republic the United States has been a federal republic since it's founding.

    I know that confuses many liberals but it's true

    The only thing that confuses us is the poor reading comprehension — well, comprehension in general — of the right.

    I knew this change would cause some hubbub at the "All Left-Wing People of America" conference we have to decide what we will all do as a singular unit each month.

    I was the one who suggested this change. I tried getting this one on the docket back at the beginning of the year, but back then everyone was all "Guys guys, we're doing "not enough black people at the awards shows"". So I put it on the back burner. Tried again around July 4th, but man, everyone at the conference was like "vaccines vaccines vaccines".

    But sleep easy Republicans, I didn't forget.

    So now, just in time for Christmas, it's...."COMIC BOOK CHARACTER WHOSE EXISTENCE DOESN'T AFFECT YOU HAS DIFFERENT MOTTO" time!

    BTW, bi-sexual Superman...also my idea. You're welcome!

    Sincerely and with love,

    Your Evil Liberal Overlords

    The reason for changing the motto should be no surprise to anyone. Here is the actual explanation:
    <SNIP>

    motto will be “evolving” from the well-known mantra that he fights for “Truth, Justice and the American Way.”

    Superman’s new “mission statement”: “Truth, Justice and a Better Tomorrow.”

    In a press statement, the company said the decision is meant “to better reflect the storylines that we are telling across DC and to honor Superman’s incredible legacy of over 80 years of building a better world.”

    In reality, Superman has followed several mantras over the decades, all of which involved variations on “truth” and “justice” as central to the iconic superhero’s identity.

    <End Snip>

    Translation: this is about "evolving," to more appeal to world markets, outside of the U.S.A. Apparently the "American Way," is not a slogan that pulls 'em in, like it used to. This story, then, actually has significance, as a sign of the dimming of the connotations to non-Americans, of the expression, "the American way." The debate here might be what are the greatest causes of this, and how have the associations with this phrase changed? For example, was it 20 years of MidEast war, which has led "American Way," to be code for, "drone warfare?" Or is it more the European crowd that DC is losing & wishing to cater to? Was our last president's attitude toward NATO, and the like, what has tarnished the image of, 'the American way?" Or is it things the world sees actually going on within America? The images of immigrants in cages, can't have done much for South American sales. And there was the Capitol riot, that many in the world found shocking. But maybe it is just or general bickering & lack of civility to one another, that has eroded the prestige of our brand.

    Anyway, Darth, I don't think this has anything to do with American Liberals. Your additional note was also very interesting:

    I think this rules out the Middle East, for where DC might be looking to expand readership. I'm gonna guess Europe, since that is where this idea is most accepted. Though it's possible they might be trying, as well, to appeal to those who feel left out of mainstream society, as in East Asia, possibly even parts of Latin America, like Brazil (if this isn't the sort of thing that Bolsonaro might ban).

    Lol, that's hilarious. They are the ones complaining about these changes. They've always complained about comic books.

    Complaints from the left are what prompt these changes In the first place
    They can very easily create new heroes with whatever gender and sexuality they want

    I guess that would depend on whether he is a top or a bottom :banana:

    Anyway, who cares. These are fictional people you know.....maybe if the cultural trends shift, Clark and Lois can send him to conversion therapy one day.

    Isn't it the same? Wasn't the American way not always a synonym for a better tomorrow?

    The founders of America fled Europe from lack of opportunity, injustice, lack of freedom, poverty, and oppression. Their goal was to create a better world for themselves and their families. That's the American way - to strive for a better tomorrow. :)

    Where can I find the complaints about his previous motto? You seem to think they were everywhere, but I can't find one, and the article you linked to says you are wrong about what prompted this (again, you really should read it. What I have found are right wingers everywhere, even on news networks, complaining about this.

    You realize that more than one character has been Cap, right, and that Steve Rogers always comes back to fill the role eventually in the comics . . . and that the idea of Sam Wilson becoming Cap had already been established in the comics DECADES ago?

    Also @Darthcervantes , no, the new Cap in the comics isn't black. It's still Steve Rogers, and he's still white. New issue comes out this week.

    As far as only letting new characters be bisexual (for whatever reason), this character's first appearance was in 2015. He's fairly new.
