I grew up around guns they never jumped out of the closet and attacked anybody.

you own the guns your government tells you can have and your guns are registered with the Government.
Just like in Nazi Germany where only Aryan's could own guns and only if they "needed them"

It doesn't make freedom loving Americans happy to see their Australian brothers lose their freedom and good sense.

 

Nor do I. I need them for land management and I like having them around for sport and to put delicious food on the table. Trust me, if I needed them to define my manhood, I would have selected something else. My favorite firearm, by far, is my .22. Having a .22 as a penis substitute is like having a Smart Car as a penis substitute.

Additionally, eating something that I killed myself makes me pause and reflect on the fact that something lost its life so that I could eat much more than unwrapping a fast food burger does.

Protection of myself and my property is also a concern. If guns are good enough for the police to protect my life, then they are good enough for me to protect my life, especially sense I've put in more range time than most of the police that I know.

And, if guns are only about being a penis substitute, why do you advocate police and military having them? Anti-gun bigotry (and, yes, when you start resorting to immature armchair psychology, it is bigotry) is like any other form of bigotry. It will only go away through exposure.

 

This Hall fellow seems about as knowledgeable about firearms as Fred Phelps is about homosexuality.

 

IMO, that you hunt and eat your kill is great. Perhaps the best use of guns I can think of.

What I'm curious about is this:

Is someone coming to steal you land?

Sorry, I was referring to hunting for land management: not only are deer and feral pigs delicious, but they can cause a lot of property damage. A lot of farmers around here will let you hunt on their land for free or even pay you to get rid of them.
