I did. It doesn't say anywhere in the NY time article that Biden has pressured the DOJ to do anything. The tweet is one guy opinion. That's all.

Ahhhh! Maybe it is something or other lack of something in the right wing media that leads to these inane claims.

You forgot perhaps that Bill Barr put out a false statement out the Mueller report?

Fair enough. And his officials resisted because they wanted to uphold personal integrity and principles and didn't see it as appropriate.

Do the Democrat officials Biden has appointed have that same personal integrity and principles?

It's eye opening. They will always find a way to exonerate Trump of the same abuses of power they accuse Biden of.

In point of fact I cannot find any evidence that Biden pressured the Dept of Justice or the AG's office to do ANYTHING with regard to a possible case against Trump in the links supplied. The New York Times article is behind a paywall, but the interpretation of it is in the hands of an editorial writer I don't trust. Someone will have to provide me with this damning quote of Biden's in context. I need to know what was said, who Biden was talking to, and who is the source.

I have spoken to you before about selective quotations. In this case you make it appear as if those were MY words and although I quoted them it is important that original citations are maintained

yes, Trump is a threat to democracy, saying that is not the same as asking your DOJ to go after Trump

many of us think that and wanted that, but bidden never asked the DOJ to do that

No it is an academic standard as well as a legal one. I may agree with what was said BUT THOSE WORDS WERE NOT MINE!
oh! And if I didn’t respond it could be that I reported your post

Okay, if you make a quote from a news source again I'll try to remember to put it in quotes and make a note that it came from a news source.
But if I don't remember, you're just going to have to deal with it, it's not a big issue.
If you're quoting and posting it, we can assume that you agree with it.

I don't get it. Trump is allowed to strong arm Ukraine into investigating Biden and send Guiliani as an envoy to get the ball rolling. Biden however is forbidden from expressing his 1st amendments first to advisors.

He wanted Zelensky to get dirt in Biden, and if he didn't, he was going to withhold funds appropriated by Congress promised. That's an abuse
of power, and an impeachable offense.
I don't think it was put forth in light of a 'comparison', but more of as 'karma'.

Who are those "close confidants" and "the two sources"?

What a coincidence. Trump is on record for firing the antebellum lawn jockey known as Jeff Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia investigation and replacing him with a loyalist who expressed views on the inquiry Trump liked. Then ended up hiring Billy the Bagman because of an audition letter he wrote declaring his belief in the unitary executive theory. You have examples of Trump meddling like this..... https://apnews.com/article/middle-east-new-york-manhattan-donald-trump-iran-nuclear-8c33e030b176a7c8489516eb31b21681......................................and this......................https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/11/politics/pak-trump-georgia-election-testimony/index.html....................and has just been indicted, in part, for trying to use the DoJ to overturn the 2020 election.

So what happens? We get a lame false equivalence to what Trump did like this..."President Joe Biden told close confidants that former President Donald Trump is a 'threat to democracy' and wants Attorney General Merrick Garland’s DOJ to prosecute him."

It's laughable. Where's the damn beef?

That is 100% correct, and I am surprised just how many from the left seem to forget this. Right after the election in November of 2016 prior to taking office, it was announced that he would not go after her legally.

After the FBI had already cleared her of wrongdoing — all the “trump team” did was admit it was at its most basic level election interference.

So just think of this as the same. It will all go away after Biden wins — just like with trump. (Except it won’t and he will end up being convicted)

The FBI does not make the ultimate decision on whether to charge or not. On top of that, he could have very easily pushed for congressional investigations etc.

Regardless of the above irrelevant point, you were implying that Trump tried to get Hillary, and as my link and now you clearly admit, he did no such thing. This occurred prior to him taking office. Truth is, he was trying to take on a conciliatory tone after he won the election.

No longer able to even pretend like your argument has even a shred of merit, you decided to just bicker aimlessly by throwing out a wholly irrelevant non sequitur.

    Bless your little heart.

It’s an secret source, and they don’t say Biden put any pressure on Garland.
