    So during the debate, he wants the debaters to be constantly interrupted by some editor showing a what? percentage of truth? or a scale, true, somewhat true... totally fake.... how about we do the same with the media?

    So if one of these factcheckers runs a scroll that says LIE, does the candidate get to respond to the assertion or do we just take the factchecker's word for it? What if the factcheckers don't agree and need to discuss it do they stop the debate until they can decide?

    To be fair, Trump's lies are usually pretty obvious. A high school kid with slow internet and an old phone would still be overkill for what would be necessary to fact check him.

    I'd be perfectly fine with this as long as the fact checker was not in any way associated with any of the mainstream news outlets. I simply do not trust any mainstream news outlet to be objective enough to perform this task without bias.

    Do we even have any pure objective news journalists anymore? Someone who simply reports the news as is without putting their own little spin on it? Hard to even research something like that because nowadays even search engines have "agendas".

    How about all three sides get a card with false, true or mixed and get to put them up as they need to do so.

    So you say, and of course, those on the Left hate Trump's guts (nothing new there) -- but to keep a "level playing field" and to maintain FAIRNESS, we should have input on-the-spot from both Conservative and Liberal 'fact-checkers'. Agreed?!

    I wasn’t asked to refute them — but I already have.

    Only actual facts would be allowed to be fact checked, not opinion or subjective material
    For instance trump could say he has made the country the greatest it has ever been, he could not say that none of his administration has been arrested or charged

    We need fact checkers because people believe their team over fact, and some people are not educated on various topics.
    It would assist people in making proper determination on which of the senile idiots are telling the truth

    You could have a simple traffic light system - green definitely fact yellow - opinion/not quite true/ yeah but only sometimes and red - pants on fire

    Politifact does that already with its “truth-o-meter”
